I have been based in Guangzhou providing cosplay makeup services for Guangzhou anime convention for 11 years, during which I've handled numerous anime conventions of all sizes and private photoshoots. Many friends bring photos of various styles to ask if I can recreate them. In fact, the underlying logic of makeup techniques is interconnected; as long as your foundation is solid, any makeup look can be handled. For me personally, over the years, I have accumulated extensive experience not just with daily convention makeup and official photoshoots, but also with looks requiring large-scale hand-painting or special textures.

Regarding the makeup fees that everyone is most concerned about, we are currently in the discount period for this year's major anime conventions, so the entry price for convention makeup is very low, starting at 88 RMB for a full face. This price includes false eyelashes and eyebrow trimming, so there won't be any extra charges for details during the official shoot or at the convention venue. Of course, if you need heavy special makeup, large-scale detailed hand-painting, or character cosplay SFX makeup share, the specific price will need to be negotiated separately due to the different time and materials consumed. Private bookings or official photoshoot makeup outside of major convention periods start at 128 RMB.

Having been a makeup artist for so long, I often receive anxious feedback from friends who worry about having puffy eyelids, asymmetrical eyes, or unique eye shapes, fearing that the stunning effect they want cannot be achieved. Precisely because I have been a cosplay makeup artist with 11 years of experience, I actually feel more confident when encountering these so-called difficult cases. The blending range of eyeshadow, the thickness and direction of eyeliner, and the angle of false eyelashes—these are all details. As long as you thoroughly understand the facial bone structure and muscle alignment, you can completely adjust a personalized eye makeup framework suitable for each individual through professional cosplay makeup techniques.

In the choice of cosmetics, I have never cut corners on costs. For the base makeup, I use Armani Power Fabric, which has excellent staying power and doesn't easily oxidize; the loose powder is from Decorté, offering great oil control and soft-focus effects; lipsticks are mostly alternating between MAC and Lancôme, which have accurate colors and are sufficiently moisturizing. From many years of practical experience, using high-quality products can significantly improve the cleanliness of the makeup look and its camera texture.

Looking back at the different makeup looks I have taken on before, I can immediately see the traces of my accumulation over the years. For the look featuring white hair paired with teardrop decorations, the key was actually the connection between eye colors and facial highlights; the eye makeup needed to be deep enough without looking messy. The look with a red cheongsam and clover glasses featured an overall style of Chinese retro elements blended with a bit of playfulness, where the color echo between the lower eyeshadow and blush was extremely important. As for the look wearing a white satin long dress paired with an exaggerated black top hat, the eye makeup treatment leaned towards vintage and heavy, which could both support the aura of the costume without making the character appear too harsh.

Additionally, there was the time with the techwear-style leather jacket paired with silver-grey twin tails and metal claw props, where the eyeliner part of the eye makeup was drawn very sharply. Combined with the geometric decorations on the cheeks, the person's sense of power instantly came out. Finally, that bizarre-style makeup with candles on the head, wearing a diamond-patterned sweater, paired with all-white eyes and special mouth embellishments, is actually the type that tests creativity and patience the most, because it requires using details to precisely shape that sense of the absurd.

Because I am usually busy applying makeup or running around anime conventions during the day, there are quite a lot of things to attend to, so I generally save social media messages to reply to at night. If you want to contact me to discuss a specific shooting plan, you can send a private message first, and I will reply and follow up one by one when I see it. Living the daily life of an anime convention cosplay makeup artist isn't entirely about how high or low the makeup fees are; being able to communicate effectively with cosplayers and implement ideas onto a real makeup face is where the greatest sense of accomplishment in this job lies.
