Diving straight in—stepping into the LLO venue today completely immersed me in an incredible anime convention vibe. I began getting this entire coordinate ready a week in advance just for the event. Starting with the wig, to ensure the braided crown looked full yet natural, I used plenty of hair gel and setting spray to sculpt and set each strand into place. The blue fabric hair accessories on both sides were specially picked out to add a refreshing pop of contrast against the pale blonde. I trimmed the bangs slightly so they rested just over the brows, lending an innocent, wide-eyed anime charm to the eye makeup.
For the makeup, I blended a generous wash of pink blush across the center of my cheeks and directly under the eyes, paired with large-diameter brown circle lenses to maximize cuteness. I layered two sets of false lashes—one natural and lengthening, one voluminous—and hand-drew the lower lashes individually with a liquid liner. It took extra time, but up close, the detail is super crisp. For the base, I deliberately picked a long-wear liquid foundation since I knew I'd be at the venue all day, and I brought setting spray along for touch-ups.
The texture and craft of the dress are remarkable. The sheer mesh on the bodice offers a soft peek of skin without feeling overly revealing, harmonizing flawlessly with the purple piping along the neckline and the deep purple velvet bow on the chest. The draped silver chains carry a lovely weight and chime softly with every step. The highlight of the entire ensemble is the oversized shimmery purple bow at the waist; spinning around in the sunlight makes the fine glitter catch the light in stunning colors, looking phenomenal on camera. Walking around the halls today, so many photographers stopped me for shots, and several adorable girls came over asking for selfies together, which made me so happy. Even though the layered dress and wig can get a bit warm in crowded areas, the moment I'm in front of a lens, my energy instantly bounces back.
I met so many fellow LoveLive fans on the floor. Even though everyone cosplayed different characters, gathering together to chat about our favorite songs and character lore sparked a sense of connection that words can hardly describe. I also managed to score quite a few dream badges and acrylic stands at several artist booths. I wore my wristband to easily come and go across the hall. Taking a short break right now, I found a well-lit spot to capture a few selfies: poking my cheek, resting my chin on my hands, and waving at the camera—all fitting this sweet, soft aesthetic so well. Next up is heading over to the main stage for the live performances; I heard there's an amazing dance showcase lined up today, and I can't wait!
