There is actually a highly exquisite contradiction in this look: it looks layered and complex, but during the actual shoot, it heavily tests the lines. The shoulder cutout design coupled with those large black-and-white diamond-checkered sleeve covers can easily create a sense of distortion when movements are large. Fortunately, the pattern-making in the early stage and the trimming in the later stage were both on point. Combined with those stiff blue-and-gold panels on the skirt hem and the geometric faceted wings in the back, which perfect this irregular-shaped wing styling, the silhouette on camera requires absolutely no extra modification.

When choosing scenes, we specially prepared two styles—one bright and one dark. The throne set is truly an extremely comfortable, bright, high-key setting. The pure white backdrop, light gold carvings, and surrounding blue floral arrangements mix with my white hair and blue contact lenses to create a visual effect that looks exceptionally cool and translucent. Honestly, this kind of framing works wonders to bring out the character's solitary and proud aura. Sitting on that high-backed cushioned chair, although my body was very relaxed, my gaze and posture had to be elevated accordingly. The resulting photos, just like the phrase I posted before, genuinely carry a sense of solemnity.

Of course, we couldn't miss the other set with more dramatic conflict for our chess scene photography. The red curtains combined with the black-and-white checkered floor, and that wooden vintage international chess table. The visual impact of this color contrast is immense. The deep red curtains elevate the entire atmosphere to a playful, mysterious, yet elegant height. Coupled with a beam of faint warm light shining over, the shadows of the character instantly become three-dimensional. I feel that those snapshots of me kneeling on the checkered floor or cupping my face while looking at the chess pieces on the table are the exact moments that best embody the true core of that phrase, "I am the law." No exaggerated expressions were needed; just that calm, slightly scrutinizing gaze, paired with the high-quality staff in hand, or simply staying on the action of holding a chess piece, naturally radiated that ruler-like sense of control.

Let's talk about the details; the makeup really helped a lot. Under the influence of white hair, blue-toned pupils can easily look unnatural or create a jarring mask-like feel. However, the makeup artist went for a highly translucent blending effect, elongating the eye makeup along the natural eye shape. Instead of emphasizing an exaggerated heavy black eyeliner, they used some blue-tinted pearlescent shimmer to echo the gradient color at the hair ends. The lip color was also chosen with great restraint—a very pale, cool-toned lipstick, preventing the overall clean makeup from being disrupted by rich, bright lipstick. The blue diamond hairpiece and the layered cravat on the chest are also crucial visual points; against the pure white background, they are the color blocks that pop right out.

I remember the shooting time that day was truly long. Wearing that outfit and shoes, plus holding that staff, and switching back and forth between the two scenes, my body was actually exhausted. But seeing the photos coming out of the viewfinder made me feel that all the early-stage preparations and the adjustments I endured were entirely worth it.

Releasing this set of photos is actually because I want to share this attempt at a cooler style of cosplay with everyone. Relatively speaking, characters with these large blue and white color blocks combined with geometric elements heavily test the control of light and shadow when producing photos. Fortunately, I met a highly reliable photographer and a makeup artist who deeply understood my desire for expression, allowing the texture of this photo set to be fully maxed out. The whole process was purely about doing something I found meaningful, and it's also another way of interpreting the character's temperament.
