[Liu Yu cosplay] Liu Yu Concert Offline Record: Small Blessings of a White-Haired Sailor Suit Look

This offline event for the Liu Yu concert caught me completely by surprise. Having been immersed in the busyness of preparing my cosplay look earlier, seeing fellow fans sharing Fan support merchandise offline made me so happy. Sorting through photos, the merch and materials spread across the table were incredibly rich—especially that small red box shaped like a traditional marriage certificate, which felt textured to the touch and featured ancient-style calligraphy fitting the concert's Chinese aesthetic theme. Additionally, there were acrylic stands, photo cards, and braided strap charms, each carrying deep sentiment.

I saw stage visuals on the big screens inside the venue: ethereal blue-gray traditional attire gave off an ethereal, celestial vibe, setting the tone for my Liu Yu cosplay. Since I wanted to provide Fan support, it wasn't just about bringing standees, but creating stylistic unity through my outfit. Thus, I chose a short, wavy silver-white wig paired with sea-blue contact lenses, topped with a white halo accessory, combined with a white sailor uniform featuring a light-blue necktie. Overall, it looked crisp and clean with a subtle cool composure. To interact better with the character on-site, I specially prepared a round fan decorated with ancient-style character images, accented around the edges with 3D light-blue and white flowers so it looked visually rich when held up.

Truth be told, I initially thought I'd join more itineraries since related offline activities were right at my doorstep—I was genuinely astonished when I heard that news! However, the weather over those days was scorching hot; sweating buckets shortly after stepping outside, and fearing my carefully applied makeup might melt, I didn't dare wander into crowded areas under intense heat, leaving a considerable regret.

Yet there were comforting pleasures. In my leisure time, I bravely tried Beijing's specialty food, Douzhi (fermented mung bean milk). While opinions on its flavor are polarized, I found Douzhi ice cream surprisingly delicious! Refreshing and heat-relieving, without any strange aftertaste. On my way back to the hotel after outdoor photos, I dropped by the Guozijian Red Wall area for a stroll; red walls reflecting against blue skies were perfect for an Offline check-in, echoing the sailor suit color palette nicely.

This Liu Yu cosplay experience surrounding the Liu Yu concert allowed me to immerse myself in the character while showing Fan support as a dedicated fan. From early searches for outfits and accessories, to makeup tests and gathering with handmade fans, every step was filled with ritual. Though heat forced me to skip certain on-site events, seeing shared merchandise and feeling the fans' passion always makes me anticipate the next meeting. I hope to step offline again in the future with new looks and fresh moods to feel the live energy firsthand.
