A tremendous amount of thought went into the scene arrangement for this photoshoot. As soon as you stepped into the studio, that rich European retro and dark gothic vibe hit you immediately: the deep red velvet sofa, golden carved picture frames, various intricate candelabras, scattered pearls, and red apples instantly immersed you in the setting. The lighting design in the studio was also fascinating; purple-blue ambient lights combined with warm yellow rim lighting maximized the suspenseful and mysterious texture.

To match the tone of this costume, considerable effort was invested in hair and makeup. The messy short purple hair paired with black demon-horn hair ornaments on top, coupled with red circle lenses, immediately gave the entire persona a slightly bewitching and fierce aura. The costume details are exceptionally rich: the inner layer features a lustrous purple fabric, layered underneath a long black coat, with the exaggerated white geometric shoulder armor and the huge magenta gemstone on the chest serving as the finishing touches. The loose white trousers on the lower half paired with black high-tube leather boots look sharp when moving and do a wonderful job shaping the leg lines.

During the shoot, props played an exceptionally helpful role. The sword with a glowing red blade was quite heavy in hand, but also remarkably cool; both the two-handed sword-gripping posture and the one-handed dragging pose showcased the character's sense of power brilliantly. For the shot holding the retro brass kerosene lamp, the photographer utilized rim-backlight, elevating the mysterious atmosphere.

The most exhilarating part of shooting in a studio is being able to adjust your performance state based on different props and scenes. For instance, in the shot lying on the carpet viewed from an overhead angle, facial expressions had to be very restrained, with the gaze projecting a confidence of absolute control. Meanwhile, for the shot sitting on the sofa holding a book, a slightly more relaxed posture was needed, crossing legs to exhibit a casual, arrogant vibe. The black long boots and white pants stretched the visual lines of the legs nicely in this posture, combined with the accent of gloves, achieving a perfect blend of asceticism and power. When posing standing with the sword, due to the weapon's weight, it was actually easier to find a genuine point of physical exertion—shoulders dropped, gaze locked onto the blade, and that pre-duel tension naturally flowed out. The armor on the costume collided during movements, and these small details were wonderfully captured through Teacher Shiyue's lens. The creative atmosphere throughout the entire process was fantastic; everyone constantly experimented with new angles, resulting in a remarkably high yield of great photos. Teacher Shiyue's framing and capturing were extremely precise, recording both the sharpness of the gaze and the extension of body lines thoroughly. The post-processing color grading also perfectly restored the gorgeous yet profound texture we desired, with every polish of light, shadow, and detail making this photo set richer in storytelling.
