Location shoots are actually quite demanding; this outfit involves a lot of fabric with voluminous, long white veils and skirts. Walking across the grass meant constantly risking stepping on the hem or catching burrs, and I had to hold up the skirt carefully on the stairs to avoid tripping. The headpiece and long veil required extensive pinning with bobby pins to keep them in place during the shoot, and since it's a backless design, I did some prep work beforehand to ensure it looked its best on camera. The greatsword prop was very heavy; holding it up with one hand while striking an imposing pose left my arms aching after just a few sets. The afternoon light was gorgeous, especially around the arches where it filtered through the architecture and fell across the skirt. My favorite shots are the ones where I'm seated at the piano glancing back. The gown accentuates the leg lines nicely, and pairing the white stockings and boots with the backless dress created a very clean visual look. The piano was just for posing, but leaning against the piano bench with my arm resting naturally over the keys allowed the photographer to capture a truly natural turning moment. To achieve the dynamic flow of the skirt, I ran back and forth across the lawn countless times until the movement looked just right.
