To match the bright, modern atmosphere of the show, the stylist created a dewy look with eye-catching highlights. The foundation emphasizes hydration, while the eyes take center stage, embellished underneath with glitter and rhinestones that shimmer under the ceiling spotlights. My hair features blunt bangs with soft, curled tendrils framing the face; the updo is adorned with blue crystal butterfly hairpins and paired with pearl drop earrings, adding a lively touch. The outfit is a halter-neck mini dress: the bodice is adorned with dense silver sequins and embroidered patterns reflecting multifaceted shimmers under changing light. Light purple puffy sleeves with a pearlescent sheen echo the layered, irregularly cut wavy ruffles of the skirt. On my feet are silver pointed-toe stiletto heels, whose rhinestone toes create a cohesive visual theme with the dress sequins.
Shooting at an auto show is quite different from comic conventions or studios. Surrounded by white display cars, blue backdrops, and bustling crowds, the overhead spotlights are intense and complex. To find the right angles, the photographer continually guided my poses—lightly cupping a cheek, touching my chin with one hand, or crossing my arms—all to make my silhouette pop against the crowded surroundings. For full-body shots, I slightly raised one leg or leaned against the car body, which not only highlighted the layered flow of the skirt but also elongated my body proportions. Walking around the auto show in heels all day while maintaining posture and a smile is truly a test of stamina and focus.
Everyone calls me Xiao Mianbao (Little Bread), likely because the round puff sleeves and layered frills give off a soft, sweet vibe that matches my naturally cute features, and the nickname just caught on. Working as a trade show model or wearing anime-style cosplay is far more than just standing there looking pretty. Before every show, we do makeup tests and refine accessories to ensure the fabric texture holds up under harsh lighting. On stage, you must handle lenses from all angles and constantly adjust your positioning according to the height and color of the cars.
