[I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day] Full Cast Recreation: Sheena cosplay, Mimi cosplay, Ali cosplay, and Lizzy Seiran cosplay

The core of this recreation shoot lay in the positioning of the four characters and their mutual interaction. To flawlessly replicate the atmosphere of the official illustration for I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day, scrutinizing costume details occupied a major portion of our pre-production work.

The white stripes on the sailor collar, the tactile texture of the deep navy fabric, the proportions of the cuffs, and even the exact silhouette of the white flowers in hand all needed to be as close to the canon art as possible; we reviewed countless matching references before finally settling on them. For hair and makeup, we fine-tuned the eye makeup according to each character's traits: Mimi cosplay called for softer, gentler eye styling, while Ali cosplay demanded a crisper, more energetic look; for Sheena cosplay and Lizzy Seiran cosplay, we adjusted focal gaze in tandem with colored contacts while maintaining stylistic unity across the board, ensuring skin radiance remained clear, luminous, and natural.

The temperature was rather chilly on the day of the shoot, making fingers holding the flower bouquets freeze easily. Yet everyone was an experienced professional, holding impeccable posture while repeatedly exploring camera angles before the stained glass windows. Drawing inspiration from the delicate, translucent softness of the original artwork, the photographer arranged cool-toned fill lighting against the church-style stained glass backdrop, striving to cultivate an ethereal ambiance hovering between 2D and 3D, lending crisp dimensionality to the fabric folds and shadows.

The trickiest part of recreating official illustrations is capturing organic naturalness. In the original drawing, the girls seem to stand casually, yet their gazes and postures carry distinct emotional nuance—such as the gently vacant tenderness of Lizzy Seiran cosplay, the vibrant cheerfulness of Ali cosplay, and the calm focus of Sheena cosplay. We rehearsed in front of the mirror for hours, continuously micro-adjusting body angles, hand gestures holding flowers, and even the subtle curve of bent elbows before finally freezing these satisfying frames. Because we stood so close together, garments inevitably pressed against one another, but between takes, everyone helped smooth out each other's outfits—a silent understanding forged steadily through past group cosplay projects.

Although a gap between 3D photographs and 2D illustrations is inevitable, participating in a beloved title this way as dedicated fans brings immense fulfillment in itself. The quartet's coordinated staging and evocative presence surpassed our expectations, leaving us all thrilled when the finished shots arrived.
