[Floating Life Silk cosplay] Fantasy Westward Journey Black Veil Silver Butterfly Chimelong Water Park Party

This swimsuit version of Floating Life Silk from Fantasy Westward Journey is something I've had my eye on for a long time. Taking advantage of Chimelong's global water play event, I directly scheduled a night shoot. I chose the black veil silver butterfly version because under strong light and poolside night views, the translucent material can reveal great light and shadow layering. Since it's an outdoor night shoot, my makeup and styling focus was placed on the eye makeup. A large area of red blending paired with a silver-gray gradient twin-tail wig creates a very strong contrast under the night light.
The costume details were even more numerous than I expected. The top is a halter-neck spaghetti strap, with a large amount of hanging bead chains added to the mesh material, and a silver three-dimensional butterfly on the chest. The chains around the waist and the butterfly accessories on the skirt hem sparkle with the light when walking by the water. I painted a few scratch special effects on my legs with red pigment; under the slightly cool lighting of Chimelong's night venue, combined with the ripples of the water park, it gives off a cold yet slightly dangerous feeling.
Outdoor night shooting is actually quite a test for lighting. The ambient light is quite mixed, so we used the main light to darken the background, making the character pop out from the water's reflection. The material of the gauze skirt is very light and blows away with the wind. When taking candid shots with slightly larger movements, the irregular layering of the skirt hem can be fully displayed. Paired with transparent high-heeled sandals on the feet, standing on the steps to pose requires core strength to stabilize the center of gravity, but shooting by the water, this outfit is indeed very photogenic.
The atmosphere of Chimelong's massive water party left a deep impression on me. Surrounded by people playing in the water, walking on the boardwalk wearing the gauze skirt of Floating Life Silk turned a lot of heads. Quite a few passersby came over to ask what kind of clothing this was, and I would explain to them that it was cosmetic armor from Fantasy Westward Journey. Bringing elements from the game into a real-world water park is in itself a quite interesting cross-dimensional collision.
As someone who frequently shoots outdoor photos, I feel this outfit has a very high tolerance for scenes. Whether it's wooden bridge railings or step-pools, by searching slightly for light and shadow angles, you can shoot different feelings. Night shoots involve a lot of sweating, making wigs and makeup susceptible to effects, requiring constant touch-ups and hair adjustments. This time, I finished styling before dark and started shooting directly at night, and the rhythm was fairly smooth.
When the shooting ended, the water party was still ongoing. With the cooperation of real scenes and night fill lighting, the texture of this black veil silver butterfly styling was fully expressed. I am personally quite satisfied with this set of pictures, and it can also provide a reference for real-world outdoor locations for friends who like the Floating Life Silk cosmetic armor.
