We selected Xingman Movie Studio, a Nanning photography studio, which featured a sleek grayish-blue gradient backdrop paired with clean white cylindrical pedestals. Photographer He demonstrated superb mastery over light and shadow; the resulting lighting was sculptural and richly textured, wonderfully accentuating the energy of this red and black sporty style.

In terms of styling, the red short-sleeved T-shirt paired with a black-and-beige pleated skirt and a pair of red over-the-knee socks radiated undeniable anime soccer babe vibes. Rolling up the tee to reveal the waistline, complemented by the red-and-black stripe accents, delivered immediate visual impact. The moment my foot stepped onto the soccer ball, I felt completely energized. Although wearing long socks inside the studio was somewhat warm, it was entirely worthwhile to showcase sleek leg contours and a polished overall silhouette.

The inspiration for this series came from viewing the World Cup through an anime lens. I've always felt that soccer is far more than just competitive sports—it serves as a vessel for dreams and genuine passion. Speaking of the Norway national team, while their recent performances have experienced ups and downs, their tireless fighting spirit on the pitch remains deeply inspiring. Xingman hopes Norway keeps fighting hard next tournament, and I look forward to seeing them advance even further. As a fan, pulling all-nighters to watch games is second nature; passion knows no time zones, and the match frenzy never stops—that is truly the magic of soccer.

During the session, to showcase diverse movement dynamics, I experimented with standing while cradling the ball, lifting one leg, and crouching down to rest a hand on the ball. Balancing atop the ball required core stability, with photographer He continuously adjusting vantage points to flatteringly capture waist curves and leg lines. The red over-the-knee socks established striking color contrast against the neutral background, standing out as a central highlight of this soccer cosplay styling. Shifting from front-facing stances to three-quarter profiles, and down to a crouch with the ball, every posture change required resetting the garments to ensure the skirt pleats and sock cuffs remained tidy.

Though the entire shoot was physically demanding, seeing the final cuts and the unique atmosphere born from the meeting of athletics and 2D culture left me thoroughly satisfied. Without elaborate props, relying on just a soccer ball and minimalist attire, physical body language and intentional lighting vividly communicated our love for the game. Key lights struck from the side to chisel shoulder and leg contours, while red tones popped dramatically against the gray background. Crafting memorable frames required continuous fine-tuning of poses while the photographer explored optimal compositions. This is precisely the soccer culture I wanted to express: using my creative medium to honor my love for the beautiful game.
