Regarding this Kanade Tachibana cosplay finished set, a lot of heart went into it from planning to execution. Although some time has passed since the completion of the shoot to today's release, every time I look through the photos, that unique atmosphere belonging to Angel Beats! can instantly pull me back to the shooting scene. To capture that heart-stirring temperament from the original work, we not only repeatedly pondered the material and cut of the costume but also made many attempts in scene selection and the use of light and shadow.

The first image was shot in an indoor stairwell. To restore that ethereal feeling of an angel descending in the work, we specially prepared custom white wings and semi-transparent feather props. During the shoot, the photographer used overhead lighting, compressing the surroundings to be very dark, so only the character's silhouette and the edges of the wings were clearly outlined. I raised my hand, letting the feather naturally drift from my fingertips. This moment made the white wings and wig stand out exceptionally against the dark background, creating a serene and slightly cool atmosphere. In this enclosed space full of lines, the character's expression needed to be more focused to resonate with the background.

The outdoor shooting part was a completely different experience. That backlit dynamic action capture is one I like very much, and it is also suitable to be used as the cover image. At the outdoor location of this Sydney photoshoot, the evening sun was just right, and the lens faced the light source directly, generating a natural rainbow flare. The wind blew just right, and I spun with it, making the skirt hem and the silver-blue long hair fly together. This sense of movement and the captured flare perfectly fit the character's agile side on campus. Shooting such dynamic images is actually a test of the photographer's anticipation and focusing ability; freezing the trajectory of hair strands and the skirt hem within a fraction of a second is truly not easy. This photo shows full vitality, as if she is walking through a campus in this real world.

The last set of glances back under the tree shade focused more on nature and serenity. Dappled light and shadow fell through the leaves onto the clothing and long hair, forming very beautiful out-of-focus bokeh. I gently pulled the tie clip at the collar and turned around to look at the camera. In this one, I tried to express the character's introversion and gentleness through my eyes. Although the character Kanade Tachibana doesn't have many expressions, deep emotions can actually be felt from her movements and personality details. As a cosplayer, in the process of restoring a character, body language and eye contact are often more important than pure clothing restoration. That frozen moment perfectly combined the tree shadows, glimmering light, and that gentle silhouette.

It's worth mentioning that I deeply participated in the entire process of this set, from costume preparation, makeup, and hair coordination to post-processing, and even completed most of the editing work myself. When editing the photos, I tried my best to keep the tones clean and translucent, wanting to avoid any greasy feel caused by over-editing, striving to let the frame retain that gentle light and shadow texture unique to retro anime, while moderately enhancing the atmosphere. In terms of visual presentation, I hoped to both restore the beautiful art style of the work itself and fit the angel image in my heart.

Special thanks to the photography and logistics buddies at that time for their assistance. Being able to work hard together with everyone to complete a piece of work and capture the soul of a character was truly a very pleasant experience. Seeing the final completed set, I feel that all the hard work was not in vain. This set of photos is not only a record of cosplay photography, but also a tribute to a character I love. I hope this set of photos allows everyone to feel that peace and quiet belonging to an angel through the images.
