For this Noshiro cosplay coordination in the Aroma of Luxury styling from Azur Lane, what I love most is honestly the leather beret on my head. The two devil horns on the cap are made of rigid material, so finding the center of gravity once wearing it is essential; otherwise, it easily slips forward when bowing your head. The outfit uses a dark-gray knit fabric, which showcases incredible texture against a pure white studio backdrop. The off-the-shoulder cut paired with extra-long sleeves offers great advantages when posing—tucking hands inside the sleeves while holding props adds an extra touch of languid nonchalance and endearing vulnerability.
Regarding makeup, to complement this darker Anime cosplay aesthetic, I intentionally wore blue colored contacts. Instead of conventional earth tones, I blended reddish-pink eyeshadow around the eye contours, elongating the eyeliner slightly downward to make my gaze appear cooler and more aloof. The lips were painted in a lustrous orange-red. For the necklace, I chose a long metallic chain with a circular ring pendant, breaking up the monotony of the large solid-color knit across my chest.
The lower half consists of washed vintage light-blue denim shorts with a relaxed, straight-leg cut to keep the overall silhouette from feeling overly constricting. A metallic chain belt was added to the waist, draping down slightly to incorporate a hint of metallic texture. For the legs, the over-the-knee Black stockings were chosen in a semi-sheer fabric, paired with dark brown platform loafers—a styling that visually elongates leg contours. The rounded toes of the loafers also resonated nicely with the vintage mood.
During shooting, the photographer and I discussed many posing details. When sitting on the black table, I tried extending my legs diagonally across the frame—either sitting sideways with both legs stretched forward, or sitting cross-legged with one hand propped behind and the other holding a colorful lollipop to project a relaxed state. Using clear-frame glasses as a prop, whether resting on the bridge of the nose or held in hand, brought an effortless everyday vibe to the photos. In the shots with the handheld mirror, I experimented with looking at my reflection or holding the mirror beside my face. Throughout the shoot, keeping my back straight was crucial, as slouching would make the midriff-baring design appear lethargic.
The beauty of a Studio portrait is how controllable the lighting is; the contrast between the white background and the black table cleanly accentuated the subject and fabric textures. The entire session took place in a relaxed atmosphere, allowing me to focus more on refining facial expressions and movements to channel that aloof yet playful demeanor. Tweaking the collar position, sleeve length, and leg placement really demonstrated how the output quality is intimately tied to one's mindset. This look offers immense creative range—whether posing obediently with a small mirror or eating a lollipop with a cool expression, every state felt authentic.
