The final shots from this session are finally ready! The character portrayed is Dyadia from the Role-playing game Honor of Kings. This costume carries tremendous visual impact—the expansive bright crimson paired with vivid Miku-green hair is exceptionally eye-catching. To capture the character's original lively aura, a great deal of thought went into the props and styling. For the wig, I selected a mint-green piece with a refined silky sheen, trimmed blunt bangs, and attached translucent horn accessories on both sides. These horns were built with internal wire framing to ensure they retained their sculpted shape even in breezy outdoor winds. Red satin ribbons cascaded gracefully from the head ornaments, echoing the red tones of the gown.
The overall outfit features a striking red-and-black contrast: a black base layer worn beneath a short red dress patterned with golden water-wave motifs along the hem. The white mandarin standing collar and the red-and-green geometric chest ornaments serve as the finishing touches. The metallic-colored pauldron armor was crafted from EVA foam, coated with metallic paint and contoured with red recessed grooves. The sleeves are my absolute favorite design element—remarkably broad and flowing, made from lustrous satin fabric. To let the sleeves billow dynamically, we experimented with running and flicking motions from various angles during the shoot, expending quite a bit of stamina before catching several satisfying kinetic frames.
For the lower half, I wore over-the-knee White stockings paired with predominantly white sneakers accented with silver and red stripes. While preserving the character's signature motifs, this ensemble also introduced a touch of modern sporty vitality. For makeup, pink-purple colored contact lenses were chosen to align with the character design, accompanied by delicate glitter flecks dusted around the eyes to enhance clarity and brightness.
The location was set in an Ancient-style architecture complex featuring traditional Chinese red pillars and gray roof tiles. The weather was overcast that day without harsh direct sunlight; the soft diffused ambient light faithfully brought out the crisp textures of the red-and-green color contrast. To embody the character's playful 'lose ten coins with a single glance' money-grubber persona, I deliberately tuned my expressions to look mischievous, witty, and slightly shrewd. The photos not only present standard standing postures, but also explore unconventional poses like lifting one leg and reaching a hand forward toward the lens—both to give the sweeping skirt and oversized sleeves ample room to expand, and to showcase the sleek leg lines flattered by the White stockings. From fine-tuning costume details to the Ancient-style architecture outdoor presentation, this entire photo set fulfilled all my expectations.
