In front of the camera stands the calm, black-haired, pointed-eared Laojun; behind the lens is the hardcore photo shoot routine of braving fickle weather. This time, together with the blue-haired Qingning and our jokingly nicknamed Xuan Li (dog), we held a chill yet hardcore team-building cosplay in Lanxi Town.

As soon as we arrived at the venue on the first day, we were hit by a shower, which ended up creating the funny behind-the-scenes moment everyone teased us about. After seeing the first photo, many asked, "Why isn't Laojun holding an umbrella?" The truth is, not only did I hold one, but I was also holding a black umbrella standing nearby enjoying the drama, only to turn around and get caught in this outsider-perspective meme photo. This kind of authentic, unplanned situation is actually much more interesting than forced poses. The joy of cosplay comes precisely from the sparks ignited when characters collide with real life.

To maintain Laojun's aloof tone, I specifically chose a blue-patterned white shirt paired with elf ears. Although the outfit wasn't particularly heavy, it felt refreshingly restrained against the rainy weather. As for the rumored book about "bringing a calligraphy practice book on vacation for the dog to practice," it was indeed a huge hilarious misunderstanding on set. That scene seemed very atmospheric, but in reality, I was pretending to look deep while flipping through the book, while Qingning next to me was holding chopsticks eating takeout. From the takeout boxes to the bottled water, the ethereal immortal filter was instantly dragged back down to mundane earthly life.

Speaking of team-building meals, sitting indoors in a circle eating takeout is absolutely the unique soul of anime conventions. Looking at the table full of foil-boxed meals, bubble tea, and drinks actually gave a strong sense of belonging. At this moment, we weren't any characters, just a group of ordinary friends gathered together out of love to eat, drink, and have fun. The blue-haired guy held up his phone searching for a selfie angle, I was picking up food with chopsticks, and the girl in the middle made cute, goofy faces. Those moments frozen by the camera flash felt exceptionally vivid.

Lastly, I must mention the photo where the three of us put our hands together, which is also my personal favorite. Both the composition and everyone's relaxed vibe were just right, free from annoying post-processing watermarks. The three of us posed in the center like a picture frame, perfectly highlighting Qingning in the middle. The overall image was clean and uncluttered: the composure of black hair, the vibrant blue hair, and the gentle warmth of the white coat in the middle balanced comfortably under the lighting. Without any forced posing, it conveyed the tacit understanding among the three of us best.

As a cosplayer, taking a great set of photos requires not only well-crafted props but also seamless coordination and patience among partners. Although we didn't have fancy backdrops or complex lighting setups this time, relying on our lively interactions, we still brought the vibe of the original cast to this weekend team-building in Lanxi Town. Cosplay itself should be like this: integrating love for the characters into daily moments, where the most authentic candid shots are the most touching.
