[Anya cosplay] SPY×FAMILY Spring Tea Party: Setting Out with Chimera to Feast!

Today I visited the SPY×FAMILY collab event at Dimensional lollipop in Shanghai. For this Spring Tea Party theme, I specially prepared this Anya cosplay look. A black short-sleeved dress paired with a white bow tie, combined with iconic pink short hair, small black horn hairpieces, and that sticking-up cowlick (ahoge)—the overall styling faithfully recreates her everyday look. For makeup, to accentuate Anya's green eyes, I selected vibrant, high-pigment contact lenses, keeping the base foundation clean and luminous while emphasizing blush and lip gloss.

This styling seems simple, but actually demands precision in cut and fabric: pure black can easily look heavy and dull, making fabric choice and the crisp structure of the bow tie essential. Today's wig was also carefully groomed to prevent excessive fluffiness.

Since it's a collab cafe, experiencing the themed menu was a must. Holding the food tray and looking at the pink rice paired with broccoli, cherry tomatoes, and fried bites—not only was the color palette adorable, but it tasted great too. That cup of hot cocoa topped with pink marshmallows matched the character's aesthetic to perfection.

For photography, photographer TimeAfterTime was fantastic at finding angles, making full use of the cafe's backdrop standees, booth seating, and various tableware. In the shots cradling the Chimera plush, I felt instantly immersed in character. Snapping photos while enjoying desserts made the entire process so relaxing.

We didn't deliberately strike overly exaggerated poses this time, focusing instead on harmonizing with the cafe environment to convey a relaxed, everyday ambiance. Whether standing before the dining table with hands on hips or resting my chin in my hands looking at the lens, I wanted to communicate the pure joy of dining at a themed cafe. Anya sets off with Chimera to feast—today's experience wrapped up wonderfully!

Speaking of the costume, while a black dress is basic, adding the white bow instantly gives it signature distinction. To match this styling, I intentionally chose white ankle socks and black Mary Jane shoes, creating a look that's sweet, well-behaved, and subtly collegiate. Shooting indoors meant complex lighting, but the photographer captured every nuance beautifully. For food selections, the pink rice was a real eye-catcher, and side dishes like broccoli, cherry tomatoes, fried chicken nuggets, and salad enriched the vibrant colors. That hot cocoa with cute pink-and-white marshmallows was wonderfully comforting to sip.

As a seasoned cosplayer, these slice-of-life stylings actually demand even more attention to detail. For instance, the trimming of the wig's bangs, hair fluffiness, and the symmetry of the eye makeup all directly impact the final visual impact. Today's lenses were chosen specifically to evoke vivid green eyes, which, combined with the pink wig and costume, dramatically shifted my presence. When shooting at conventions or collab cafes, making clever use of on-site props is vital. The Chimera plush and the serving tray were fantastic interaction tools. Holding a fork or spoon, or hugging the plush close, infuses the pictures with authentic warmth. Even though the venue was a restaurant, thoughtful framing still delivered stunning photos. Looking back at today's styling, even though Anya is a child, an adult cosplay needs to retain iconic character traits while adapting naturally to one's own features. I didn't strive for an exaggerated childish look, but kept the signature hairstyle and green eyes while interpreting her through natural expressions and gestures. Posing with backdrops in the cafe, I picked angles that displayed the full character standees. The shot holding the tray was taken by a sunlit window, ensuring both the food and facial chiaroscuro were crisp and dimensional. Poses with forks and spoons seemed casual, but were adjusted so props wouldn't block my face or reflect glare. The shoot went so smoothly, and all the character standees and decor were ideal for photo ops. The wide sleeves looked visually pleasing when reaching for items or holding the plush.
