[Chongqing ACG Photography One-Year Summary] Spring Comic Con & ACG Photo Studio Collaboration Recruitment

Getting straight to the point: I am Chongqing ACG photography photographer Xia Shiyi, permanently based in Chongqing, and it has been exactly one year since I transitioned to ACG photography. I've organized a set of recent convention photos and official shoots to kick off a new round of creative projects and recruitment for 2026. My schedule for the near future is quite packed, including outdoor shoots at Taxi and indoor halls for Chongqing Dreamland Comic Exhibition D1 through D3, with about 6 slots available per day. For full photoshoots, starting in March, weekends can be booked in advance; driving day-trips to the main urban area and surrounding outdoor locations are no problem at all. By late March, I will set up my own white studio—under our Long-term mutual collaboration plan, studio fees are completely waived.

First, let's talk about my understanding of photography. I am a photographer versed in both landscape and ACG domains, but in the second half of last year, my focus shifted completely to ACG photography. I accumulated several thousand followers through landscape work, plus over 5,000 followers on other short-video platforms, with content mostly composed of graphic co-creations. This means I don't just shoot casually; every output requires a complete plan. My current equipment includes Sony A7R5 and A7R3 bodies, with comprehensive lens coverage ranging from 50mm f/1.2 GM and Tamron 35-150mm to 35mm f/1.2 LAB and 85mm f/1.4, along with ultra-wide fisheye and telephoto lenses—capable of handling virtually any scene. My lighting setup includes Godox AD200Pro plus multiple V860 speedlights, alongside various light sticks, continuous lights, fans, and fog machines. You won't have to worry about lighting or atmosphere, and I can purchase any missing accessories on short notice.

As for shooting styles, I can handle both high-key and low-key lighting; the key is discussing reference images and ideas clearly during pre-production. To me, pose design and expressive performance matter even more than makeup, hair, and costume details. While exquisite makeup is great, expressing the core essence of a character is the decisive factor. Collaboration requires a certain degree of aesthetic alignment, so I politely decline those with severe appearance anxiety or absolute beginners. To clarify: I do not shoot male cosplaying female characters (except for mascot suits or heavy prop costumes), Otome games, BL (Boy's Love) themes, or multi-person group shoots. Please bring a specific character when inquiring; simply giving a like will be treated as a polite decline.

When it comes to delivering photos, I am very responsible. For convention photos, I provide 1 to 3 retouched shots within a turnaround time of under a month. In post-processing, I utilize AI tools to fix scene bugs and touch up hair strands, which is much more efficient than pure manual drawing without sacrificing quality—every necessary detail receives careful retouching. For convention shots, only retouched photos are returned without raw files. For full photoshoots, unedited raw files and color-graded shots can be provided, and particularly outstanding pieces will be selected for standalone retouching.

In everyday communication, I'm very easygoing. I joined the ACG community early on, having watched tons of anime starting with Fullmetal Alchemist, so I can even chat about niche series. I have a gentle temperament, value punctuality, and maintain high communication efficiency without wasting each other's time. If you don't have a specific character in mind, I can help suggest pairings, provided you appreciate my style. In the attached images, I've included several representative styles: ethereal gowns, suspender stockings with traditional Chinese elements, leather mech gear, and sweet pink aesthetics. Placing these diverse directions together highlights my broad aesthetic span.
