[Kano cosplay] Mekakucity Actors: Red Bridge & Rooftop Group Photoshoot Log

Both yesterday and today were sunny with crystal-clear summer skies, and taking advantage of such perfect weather, our ten-person group photoshoot finally came together smoothly. We chose the red bridge and rooftop as backdrops, where the bright red railings contrasted sharply with the clear blue sky, yielding fantastic photos. Portraying No. 3 Kano (Kano cosplay), my main focus this time was staying aligned with the group's overall rhythm.

Everyone was arranged across the red staircase in staggered tiers, with positions coordinated by the leader and vice-leader. Because the red background is very striking, the color harmony of each outfit was crucial. Ene's blue jersey paired with Black long socks created strong visual impact against the red setting, while Momo's orange-and-white outfit was equally eye-catching. To emphasize elongated leg lines, the photographer had us adjust our postures repeatedly by the railings, keeping everyone's gaze level balanced. Cosplaying Kano, I stood slightly left of center, needing to manage my expressions while using peripheral vision to ensure teammates beside me weren't blocking the lens.

The shooting process truly tested our group synergy as we switched poses continuously—sitting or leaning on the red steps before moving to the rooftop railings for horizontal lineup compositions. Since Kano's character leans playful and mischievous, I aimed for effortless relaxation in every movement to complement the expressions and actions of the other members. The costumes, wigs, and props across the board were spot-on: white, green, blue, blonde, and red hair created a rich spectrum of colors against the red bridge. In post-processing, I moderately adjusted the contrast to restore that bright, vibrant summer feel of the Kagerou Project. Though every finished shot was physically demanding, the fulfillment of bringing out each character's traits in front of the lens alongside friends who share the same passion for Mekakucity Actors is truly irreplaceable.
