Regarding the styling for this KAngel cosplay, highly glossy white fabric was chosen overall to craft the skirt hem and the bow on the chest, paired with maid-inspired white ruffled headbands and cuffs. The alternating blue and pink ribbons serve as the soul elements of the outfit, echoing the background lighting beautifully as they flow. The lower body features a white thigh-highs outfit paired with white heeled Mary Jane boots—a combination that both emphasizes the visual length of the legs and preserves the slightly naive idol feel intrinsic to this character. Setting up the scene required considerable thought: to recreate that neon-hazy, slightly cluttered and claustrophobic atmosphere, we prepared a blue sequined fringe curtain and a pink satin backdrop, with silver reflective plastic sheets spread across the floor to bounce the color. Crystal candlesticks, a vintage radio, and heart-shaped metallic balloons were placed in the corners; these physical props added depth to the framing and, combined with the cool-toned blue-purple ambient lighting, allowed the white clothing on the character to reflect various lusters. We experimented with several poses during the shoot, including playful one-handed chin-rests, energetic single-leg standing poses, and a lazy languor lying on the floor wrapped in colorful ribbons. During post-processing, the photographer and I intentionally added glitch art effects, particularly utilizing red-cyan chromatic aberration displacements to create the illusion of a shattered screen. The screen-filling text overlays and abrupt pop-up windows in the images—such as "Die" or desktop pop-ups—were actually designed to convey the sense of oppression behind being constantly watched and consumed as a character. Visually, sweetness had to be preserved, but emotionally, there needed to be a torn and extreme contrast to stay true to both the surface and core of the original work. During actual shooting, these colorful ribbons tangled easily, requiring constant untangling and readjustment; yet for that messy, pieced-together aesthetic, these preparations were essential. In terms of costume design, the waist corset spliced transparent and holographic materials, complemented by a pink kitten ornament so the overall look wouldn't feel monotonous. In front of the camera, expressions needed to shift according to the scene's mood—sometimes smiling with utmost sweetness, other times projecting emptiness and despair. This drastic contrast really tested my understanding of the character's emotions. Looking at the final result, this photoshoot perfectly met expectations in its presentation of color and emotion, capturing everything from lively daily moments to oppressive emotional outbursts through various poses and camera angles.
