The theme of this photoshoot is Cyberpunk Rock style. To properly recreate the specific vibe of the character Rei Ayanami, we specially selected this black motorcycle and an industrial backdrop with blue-purple lighting at Changsha Miku Studio. The entire shoot was conceived around contrast, aiming to showcase the character's cool edge in a different style. In terms of costume, a blue beret with plush trimming was chosen, layered with a strap-detailed gray vest inside, a blue fur-collared jacket worn half-on and half-off, plus white shorts, leg garters, and distressed denim pant legs in the back. The layering of these elements made the outfit not only three-dimensional but also richly detailed. On my feet, black platform leather shoes were paired with white long Stockings and a red leg garter, naturally shifting the visual focal point onto the leg lines. In post-processing, we mainly preserved the reflections of the blue-purple neon light on the water tank and metal frames, restoring the cool and glamorous temperament brought by the red colored contacts. During the shoot, to match the perspective of the wide-angle lens, I tried poses such as lying on my side extending a leg or leaning forward reaching out, which not only displayed the leg contours but also fully showcased the strap details on the chest. I was particularly satisfied with one perspective where my body center of gravity leaned back with a leg raised, keeping the subject centered while naturally stretching the frame's proportions. The light blue wig reflected light beautifully under the neon glow. Although there were metal props in the venue, we put deliberate thought into the posing intensity and placement. While the shoot was a bit exhausting, the finished photos truly achieved the intended style. Every photoshoot is a new exploration of the character's image—especially this rock-inspired Rei Ayanami infused with Cyberpunk elements, which, with the synergy of costume, props, and studio environment, perfectly conveyed that cool, detached, yet assertive aura. I am very satisfied with this shooting experience at Changsha Miku COS Studio; communication throughout was smooth, and the photographer really knew how to create atmosphere using blue-purple lighting, combining it with mechanical props like the motorcycle to make the overall composition very full. Sitting on the motorcycle in this outfit, I could truly feel that sense of detachment unique to the character design, and paired with the red eyeshadow and gaze, the visual impact was delivered instantly. Because the overall palette leaned cold, orange-red straps and chains were intentionally added to the costume as accents so the image wouldn't feel dull, but rather had a crisp pop-rock vibe. During the shoot, we also tried using a microphone as a prop; holding the microphone made the visual interaction much stronger. These choices in composition, lighting, and shadow were all aimed at better showcasing the rock-singer-like crisp swagger of a combat-type character in a modern garage atmosphere.
