Spending a whole day at the VCT CN site at Changsha Helong Stadium in this gear, the shouts from the stands and the neon lights of the stage intertwined. Paired with the pace of the VALORANT matches, my whole being was completely energized by the live atmosphere.
To pull off the makeup and hair for Clover this time, I put a lot of thought into the details. The wig was given a black-and-pink highlight treatment, using geometric black hard hairpins as the primary head accessories to recreate that subcultural yet aggressive style. For the eye makeup, I focused on drawing black lower eyeliner extending from the outer corners of the eyes and reddish eyeshadow, paired with light-colored contact lenses, completely maxing out that cold, cybernetic feel. The layered rivet choker and thin chains around my neck were the visual centerpiece of the whole look, along with a black off-the-shoulder T-shirt featuring irregular red-and-white graffiti prints, whose overall color palette matched the character's in-game skill colors perfectly. For the lower half, I chose black lace-up shorts, ripped fishnet stockings, and black-and-white platform shoes. This combination not only flattered the leg shape but also made it easy to walk around and stand to cheer at the venue, balancing outfit details with mobility.
Upon arriving at the venue, I immediately immersed myself in the rhythm of the VCT competition. Holding a cheering sign that read "Go SpiritZ1!" in the stands, I experienced the focus and plays of professional players on stage up close. Besides watching the matches, I also specifically went to the official display board area outside the venue to take photos with the yellow mascot, and took some promotional photos holding the physical cheering banner of the DRG team. The 2026 Changsha eSports tournaments for VCT run from July 9 to 26, and the on-site arrangements were highly orderly. Whether it was the players' massive stage screens or the audience's cheering areas, everything was filled with the unique passion of esports. As a player, being able to sit in the venue and watch the matches as a cosplayer felt much more shocking than simply watching in front of a screen, truly breaking the dimension barrier.
The atmosphere of the entire event went perfectly with the city temperament of Changsha, full of vitality and passion. Surrounded by many other players who also love VALORANT, everyone gathered to discuss the match trends or exchange thoughts on their favorite teams, giving a very strong sense of belonging. This trip to Changsha was not only to follow the tournament but also a special experience for me as a cosplayer. Combining the things I love in this way allowed me to experience the thrill of esports while achieving the desired look. I hope to have more opportunities to participate in offline tournaments like this in the future, putting on this gear to step around the arena again and feel the purest joy of esports.
