The Bilibili World 2026 convention photos are out! This time, I took some photos at the convention in this outfit. The phrase \"The VALORANT shot at BW looks so good, cos bw VALORANT Sage event photos\" that I mentioned in my previous post refers precisely to this collection. While the excitement is still fresh, let me share some shooting details and behind-the-scenes thoughts on these convention photos.

The overall design of this costume has a great sense of layering. The main body is a wide, white outer robe with teal stripes pieced along the collar and edges. This cool color tone creates a strong visual contrast with the high-collared black inner wear beneath it. A geometric metal badge with a black background and white patterns is fixed onto the chest of the black inner layer, which took quite some time to adjust to prevent it from shifting while walking around. The waist details required the most effort: a wide black leather belt paired with a matching waist corset, tied with a teal braided rope knot on the outside. The hanging small teal pompoms add a dynamic, playful feel when walking. The sleeves feature a design that blends wide sleeves with translucent purple tulle patchwork, making them exceptionally flowing when moving. The lower half consists of black leather trousers. This material reflects light beautifully under the convention hall's overhead lighting, adding a touch of sleek capability to the overall look.

Another highlight of this look lies in the makeup and body paint. The teal crystal marks on the face are drawn from the right cheek to the jawline, extending all the way down to the neck. The same marks are dotted on the arms as well. Paired with that smooth teal teardrop earring and silver bracelet, I felt while touching up my makeup that this set of paint really easily becomes the visual focus. For the hairstyle, I tried a high ponytail secured with a bronze hair crown, which looks tall and clean without blocking the details on the neck.

Shooting these convention photos was a major test of on-site cooperation and communication. The lighting inside the Bilibili World venue is actually extremely complex, with various neon light strips and basic hall illumination overhead, plus a Sony booth lightbox in the background. With on-site strobes and continuous light sources interwoven, the photographer and I utilized the reflections from the venue's floor tiles to enhance the overall clarity and transparency to capture the ideal texture. This is the essence of high-quality cosplay photography. In the close-up of holding the orb in Photo 1, the surroundings were intentionally darkened to preserve the refraction of light on the sphere, which looks incredibly serene when combined with the marks on the cheek. Photo 2 is a dynamic snapshot; as I walked, the wide sleeves and purple ribbons fluttered in the wind, which, combined with the reflections on the black leather pants, perfectly showcased the overall lines of the costume. Photo 3 captures a profile close-up, right where you can see the three-dimensional transitions of the shoulder armor and the details of the earring. Photo 4 features a frontal smiling expression, where the hand paint and the teal trim of the clothes form a beautiful color harmony in front of the lens.

The temperature at the convention was quite high that day, and wading through the massive crowds was actually a big test for the outfit's comfort. Due to the stiff material of the shoulder armor plates, wearing them for a long time caused some slight friction, so the time spent adjusting details was actually much longer than the time spent pressing the shutter. However, meeting many players at the BW venue who understood this look and exchanging insights on costume materials and prop combinations made this convention trip incredibly fulfilling. This set of photos is not only a faithful record of my convention journey but also an effective test of the accuracy of my gear.
