This Nero Cosplay red dress cosplay styling brought to FGO Fes 2026 required a huge amount of effort in both the preparation process and the on-site shooting. The material of this red dress largely uses satin, which presents a glossy texture under the convention lighting. To prop up the gold tassel epaulets on the shoulders, the inner lining structure of the clothing underwent many detail treatments, ensuring that the shoulder lines looked crisp and structured during the shoot. Although the high standing collar design fits the character's temperament very well, in the bustling exhibition hall, the collar position needed to be adjusted from time to time while wearing it to maintain optimal comfort. At the junction of the white bustier on the chest and the red outer coat, to achieve a smooth and fitting effect, the edges had to be carefully smoothed out before every pose. The white sheer connected to the outer layer of the sleeves features gold ripple decorations and has a great drape, but when grabbing props and moving, extra care was needed to prevent the sheer from being snagged by the prop's branches and leaves.

The wig styling was also the focus of this preparation. Choosing a light gold base wig, that iconic turned-up ahoge on top of the head was fixed for a long time with hair gel and setting spray, and the flat bangs and long sideburns on both sides were also trimmed and styled to restore the character's crisp sense of lines as much as possible. In terms of makeup, to match the visual impact of the overall styling, I wore green contact lenses, with the eyeliner slightly elongated and upturned at the outer corners of the eyes, cooperating with a lighter lip color to make the facial state look more aura-filled. The red rose in hand is a specially prepared artificial flower; its stem is much stiffer than a real flower, making it easier to maintain a stable angle when holding it with one hand or changing postures.

To cooperate with the photographer's lens, I tried different body languages. The first one faces the lens directly, placing the rose in front of the chest with one hand lightly touching the collar, attempting to form a strong visual effect through the gaze directly looking into the lens and the red attire. The second one turns slightly to the side, holding the flower in front of the collarbone, utilizing the red of the flower to echo the clothing while showcasing the waistline design of the clothes. The third one looks down at the rose in hand, leaning the body forward slightly, using a softer perspective to display the complete pattern version of this outfit. The indoor lighting at the convention site is actually quite complex, and there is also a lot of passing foot traffic in the background. It tests the photographer's control of light and snapshot angles very much; thanks to the photographer for finding a suitable shooting angle to avoid messy background elements and highlight the character subject very well.

For players who love Fate/Grand Order, this red-and-white alternating dress design has extremely high recognition. Translating a 2D design into wearable physical objects and presenting it through the lens requires repeatedly adjusting the splicing parts of the clothing, the direction of the wig, and the magnitude of movements. The convention site is very lively; shuttling through it wearing such a high-presence outfit, I was often recognized and greeted by fellow fans, and the atmosphere when everyone communicated about the characters and works was particularly pure. Because the skirt hem and sleeves are relatively wide, I needed to slightly lift the fabric on the sides when walking to avoid stepping on the hem. Standing and shooting for long periods is also a small test of physical strength, but being able to leave these light-and-shadow pictures on-site makes the whole process totally worth it. I hope to convey Nero's unique charm to those who see these pictures through them.
