In this Raging Loop Serizawa Chiemi cosplay photoshoot, combining a solid red backdrop with harsh single-sided lighting was the greatest challenge. Because the backdrop color was purely seamless with zero clutter, it placed even greater demands on facial contours and physical tension. I really enjoy this high-contrast Dark style cosplay approach, as it substantively materializes the character's perilous sense of dread. In terms of costume coordination, the white knit base layer paired with black shorts and the long duster coat visually elongated my silhouette. Close attention was paid to details, such as the placement of the belt and the open drape of the coat, both adjusted repeatedly. We also had to be especially mindful of the lines around the underarms and arms, because the lighting was very harsh and these areas could easily reveal flaws or awkward angles.

Regarding props, repeatedly brandishing that heavy, massive axe was a serious drain on stamina. To project an effortless sense of menace rather than simply holding it up, I had to find the exact balance between angle and gravitational pull. That intricate spiked mask was also tricky to handle—the long, sharp spikes could easily scratch my face when worn, so I had to tilt my head toward the camera, using the gaps to peer through and create a mysterious, mocking gaze. The crouching sequence was a major test of bodily flexibility; keeping my center of gravity low was essential to let the lighting highlight my leg contours cleanly, while simultaneously maintaining a frigid facial expression to prevent looking awkward. On set, we were constantly fine-tuning angles and coordinating lighting positions with the photographer; sometimes a single highlight falling on the corner of the eye or along the jawline would completely transform the entire shot's mood. Though shooting such high-tension Anime fan works requires immense effort, it faithfully captures the character's distinct, sinister charisma.
