[Hinomori Shiho cosplay] Officially on Duty at the Handmade Workshop Booth at the Shanghai PJSK Only Event - Image 1

Now officially on duty—my post for today is right here at the Handmade Workshop booth! I'm cosplaying Hinomori Shiho this time, and getting this whole look ready took quite a bit of preparation.

First up is the wig. Short, feathered silver-white hair looks straightforward, but creating that airy yet neat layered texture took about two hours of trimming and styling. I used hair wax and setting spray to give the locks a breezy feel, while also adjusting the wispy fringe across the forehead to the perfect position—neither too stiff nor messy.

For makeup, to complement the pale green colored contacts, I chose subtle earth-toned eyeshadow and drew a slight upward flick on the eyeliner to capture the character's focused gaze. The foundation was applied thinly; since convention halls get stuffy and heavy makeup melts easily, I used plenty of setting spray and loose powder. In terms of wardrobe, the gray uniform jacket with black splicing and green piping has a crisp, tailored silhouette. The white dress shirt is tucked neatly into the waistband, and the red-and-white diagonal striped tie had to be tied precisely straight so the whole look stayed sharp. The small round badge prop in my hand, printed with the character's emblem, is also a fun little item I brought along for interactions today.

Coming to the Shanghai PJSK Only at the Shanghai Kao Only event today, the foot traffic has been massive. The Handmade Workshop area is quite easy to spot. For me, cosplaying isn't just about putting on an outfit to snap a few photos; what I truly enjoy is interacting with everyone at the convention. Many fellow fans passed by the Handmade Workshop today—some stopped after recognizing the character to chat, mentioning how accurate the costume details were, or asking for cosplay self-portraits together. I was more than happy to oblige; after all, we're all gathered here for the same passion.

Standing for half a day is honestly pretty tiring—especially in leather dress shoes, which make the soles ache after long hours. Combined with the crowds and warm venue temperature, I had to touch up my makeup and fix the wig every now and then. But the moment someone came up to interact with me, that fatigue completely vanished. I did my best to stay in character, tilting my head slightly or holding the small Handmade Workshop props to cooperate with photographers. There are plenty of fun activities around our booth, and sometimes I help greet visitors or join in on simple interactive games.

Every convention is a workout, but it's also a rare, wonderful gathering. I love this feeling of immersing myself in a character at an event. There's no need to chase forced effects—just standing naturally at the booth, chatting with passersby, and sharing insights on preparing this cosplay, like how to manage the wig or tie the knot cleanly. It might not be the most flamboyant outfit, but every single detail was carefully refined.

If you're feeling tired from walking around the venue today, feel free to stop by the Handmade Workshop to chat with us. I'll be right here, always welcoming anyone who drops by—whether to talk about Hinomori Shiho's story or just say a quick hello. Hope everyone attending has a blast, and I look forward to spending a great time connecting with you all at the Handmade Workshop!
