[Kiritani Haruka cosplay] Guangzhou BBQ Stage Singing and Dancing: Embracing a Brand New Project Sekai Idol Experience

The moment I styled the blue wig with precise layers, slipped into the blue-and-white checkered uniform, and gripped the microphone tightly, I felt genuinely connected to the character of Kiritani Haruka.

To be honest, cosplaying Haruka for the first time made me quite nervous. Having never explored this idol archetype before, I poured tremendous effort into early makeup trials and uniform tailoring to match her on-stage presence. This attire boasts dense detailing: from the geometric blue grid pattern along the collar and the black ribbon bow centered with a faux-wood four-leaf clover brooch, to the structured black belt and brass buttons at the waist, every single element required thorough verification. I cut and styled the synthetic wig by hand strand by strand, applying copious freeze spray and hair lacquer to prevent it from tangling during active live Stage singing and dancing. Practicing facial expression management in front of the mirror before going on stage was essential—balancing her trademark cool serenity with the vibrant sparkle of an idol.

Day 1 of Guangzhou BBQ was buzzing with electric energy. During our live performance, stage lights washed over my face while backing tracks intertwined with my own pounding heartbeat. Juggling dance choreography, breath control, and the tactile grip of the handheld mic demanded immense stamina, yet it left my adrenaline surging. Waves of cheers from the audience rolled across the pit, creating an infectious synergy between stage and floor. I poured everything into channeling Haruka's charm, striving to keep every pop and step locked into the rhythm.

When looking back at the photo in P3, my first thought was that I was hallucinating. That shot of our microphones clustered together instantly brought back memories of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Xia Ye, Shiguang, and Shizhi long ago. Taking the stage together once again at this year's Guangzhou BBQ felt truly incredible. In the backstage wings, we adjusted each other's outfits, double-checked wireless headset packs, and exchanged pep talks. Thank you Xia Ye, thank you Shiguang, thank you Shizhi, and thank you Shumei—love you all so much! Being able to share the joy of performing on stage together is pure happiness.

Cosplay, to me, is the magic that manifests 2D imagination into reality. When I wear this coordinate and move to the beat on stage, I feel as if I have briefly become her, experiencing her radiant brilliance under the spotlights. Even if the venue was noisy and lacked immaculate studio lighting, this raw, pulse-pounding live stage sensation cannot be replaced by any sterile photo set.

As the performance wrapped, we captured countless backstage memories together. Tangled stage cables, tense rehearsals, and that ultimate bloom under the lights—every beat was precious. Stepping out of my comfort zone to tackle an unfamiliar character and pulling it off with personal satisfaction marks a huge creative breakthrough for me. I look forward to embracing even more diverse roles and leaving behind lasting memories across many more stages in the future.
