[Hinomori Shiho cosplay] Pouring Rain on a Sunny Day: Capturing Shiho's Cool Charm in Project Sekai

On this sunny day with pouring rain, I finally wrapped up this Hinomori Shiho photoshoot. Immense gratitude to the Shanghai Beer and barbecue team for the invitation, and a huge thank you to the photographer for capturing every nuance through the lens. Donning this school uniform, pairing the ash-blonde short bob with vivid green contact lenses genuinely felt as though stepping right out of Project Sekai. To ground the character, I prepared several curated props like a microphone and a dinner fork; holding them in hand allowed me to slip instantly into character—especially that playful gesture of spearing a small photo card with the fork, which brought tremendous flavor to the set.

Many of the poses were actually adapted from Rui Kamishiro: turning slightly in profile, resting a hand along the neck, or leaning against the bar counter while casually tugging at the necktie—each gesture felt effortlessly sharp. Neon illumination washed over me, forging a captivating fusion of cyberpunk edge and campus aesthetics. The green neon tubing and the crisp gray blazer established a cool, detached visual tone; loosening the tie with nonchalant ease was a deliberate choice to manifest Shiho's signature aloof composure coupled with quiet, intense dedication. Within such a high-contrast environment, I was constantly deliberating how to execute poses that balanced organic ease with dynamic tension.

While retouching my jawline in post-production, a sudden thought struck me: when Shiho posts her own photos, would she secretly want to edit herself to look extra dashing? After all, she typically seems indifferent to flashy self-promotion, yet she harbors that quiet, competitive perfectionism underneath. That inspired the shot holding the 'X' and '✓' placards formatted alongside a mock chat dialogue, aiming to share a fun, everyday slice of life. If it ventures slightly OOC, that is entirely on me, and I offer my apologies in advance! This playful speculation regarding a character's inner psyche is truly one of the most delightful aspects of cosplaying.

Looking back over the entire shoot, the greatest challenge lay in striking that balance of stoic coolness without appearing stiff. The photographer was extraordinarily patient as we scouted angles through fluctuating shifts between torrential rain and bright skies. The sharp tailoring and crisp color-blocking of the uniform performed exceptionally well against the green neon backdrop, which proved to be the sweetest surprise. Even though rain poured outside, the bright 'sunny' premise kept my spirits luminous. Inhabiting Shiho's internal dialogue from a first-person perspective was a deeply rewarding creative journey. From the feathered layers of the wig and the soft blend of the eye cosmetics to the interactive props on set, layering these nuances brought the character to life. The moment I held the microphone, I could vividly imagine her commanding presence singing on stage, so I focused my gaze to be unwavering, sharp, and laced with that signature calm detachment. I hope these frames convey her distinct aura to all of you.
