Challenging Cifera from Honkai: Star Rail this time really took a lot of thought into the details. To restore this gorgeous Golden armor, I repeatedly pondered over the material selection, wanting to find the perfect balance between texture and light and shadow. Especially for those iconic Cat ears, to make them look naturally fluffy under the lens, I was particularly meticulous when handling the details.
During the shoot, to capture that agile yet slightly cool atmosphere, the photographer and I repeatedly deliberated on the layout of light and shadow. The combination of this armor with industrial aesthetics and soft textures produced excellent flowing effects under different angles. Under the studio lights, the metallic luster processing appeared exceptionally delicate and textured.
Many friends have asked whether such complex clothing is restrictive to wear. In fact, when restoring costumes of this level of refinement, the biggest challenge often lies in how to balance the heavy feel with dynamic movement. Through reasonable structural design, even heavy armor can maintain natural lines during movement. The shoot went very smoothly this time. From the makeup and styling to the final photos, every step fits my understanding of this character perfectly, and the sense of achievement from this high level of Character accuracy is truly satisfying.
