This studio portrait photoshoot for Firefly's school-style photos had a much more meticulous overall preparation process than expected. From trimming the wig to matching the costume, every step was aimed at getting closer to the character's temperament. The silver-long hair specially underwent a teal gradient treatment, and the layering at the hair ends looks very natural under the studio lighting. The headband and black bow on top of the head serve as important decorations, and their positions needed repeated fine-tuning to ensure they looked both symmetrical and not rigid from the camera view. Pink contact lenses paired with blush blending under the eyes added a bit of 2D ethereal feel, and the lips were painted with a reddish lip gloss, keeping the overall makeup as clean and translucent as possible.

In terms of clothing, the classic JK uniform sailor style was chosen, with a dark navy collar forming a sharp contrast with the white body. The light blue bow on the chest plus the metal badge maxed out the detail texture. The striped trim on the cuffs and the gold embroidery on the shoulders were very thoughtful parts. The lower body was paired with a gray-white checkered pleated miniskirt. To increase visual layering, white over-the-knee long socks were worn, paired with dark brown glossy patent leather loafers. The gloss of the loafers popped out well under the light, forming a great light-and-dark contrast with the white socks.

The shooting scene layout was relatively simple, but props played a key role. A standard school desk and chair, coupled with a black retro leather briefcase, with green banknote props intentionally exposed in the bag's interlayer, added a bit of storytelling to the entire frame. In the first picture, I tried a posture of crossing arms and crossing legs while sitting on the desk. This action not only naturally showcased the lines of the white over-the-knee socks, but also utilized the body's forward lean and arm obstruction to make the body curves visually more compact. Because I had to sit on the table, my waist needed strong support, and my legs had to be straightened to maintain a nice line; it was actually quite tiring after taking a few shots.

The second picture wanted to present a bit of contrast, so I changed to a gesture of one leg folded up and one hand making a 'V' sign. This set of actions requires grasping the degree of playfulness without appearing overly childish. To match this posture, I adjusted the angle of my head, letting my line of sight look slightly below the camera, paired with a faint smile at the corner of my mouth. The studio lighting mainly used softboxes and side-backlighting; the softboxes ensured accurate exposure for the character's skin tone and white socks, while the side-backlighting was used to outline the edges of the hair strands, making the hair look more glossy and layered.

The entire shooting process required constantly adjusting sitting postures and expressions. From aloof to playful, the transition of the gaze is very important. In fact, studio portraits are a test of both the coser's camera presence and physical stamina. Because the background is very clean, the audience's gaze will be completely focused on the person, and any unnatural details will be magnified. Therefore, before shooting, you need to combine the character's personality and the current scene in your mind, imagining yourself right there in that classroom. After the final photos came out, I was quite satisfied with the effects of composition and light-and-shadow, and I also hope that through this set of photos, I can convey Firefly's quiet yet slightly mysterious temperament. I am still organizing several other sets of photos in different styles, and will slowly post them after retouching.
