"You shall walk with greed, and you shall die penniless." This quote was the central tone constantly circling in my mind when I decided to do Cifera Cosplay. To match this setting background of Omphalos, preparing the costume and props for this studio shoot took considerable effort, and today I'd like to share some details behind these photos.

First, regarding the outfit: this time, Cifera's costume primarily features black leather materials, paired with a white collar and hemline. The Leather jacket cosplay material inherently carries a cold, stiff, and reflective sheen. To present optimal contouring during the shoot, the tailoring was extremely form-fitting, bringing a noticeable sense of tightness once worn. The cat-eared hood is a major highlight of the entire ensemble; its three-dimensional ear structure combined with the pink plush on the inside softens the cold austerity brought by the leather. The golden crescent moon metal accessory in the exact center of the hood's forehead was secured to the wig using clips; to ensure nothing showed on camera, a great number of bobby pins were hidden underneath. The pauldrons adopt a blue-and-gold palette, featuring two hemispherical blue transparent spheres. Under the studio lights, the sheen reflected by these two spheres carries an intense sci-fi feel, making them one of my favorite details on the entire outfit.

For hair and makeup, the silver-white wig was paired with bright blue contact lenses to emphasize the character's unearthly mysterious vibe. To complement the costume's intricate construction, numerous leather straps and metal buckles were attached around the waist and hips, alongside a small blue pouch, an orange circular charm, and a cat-head-shaped necklace. The golden openwork greaves and black straps on the lower body were also key highlights, enriching the layering of the leg lines while reinforcing the combat-ready concept.

When conceptualizing poses, given the tight nature of the outfit, I deliberately chose larger, high-tension movements—such as kneeling on one knee with an arm extending diagonally upward, and that seated split pose. Many people might think studio photography only requires standing or sitting while making a few faces, but for characters with a combat orientation, body language often conveys temperament far better than facial expressions alone. The split not only highlighted the lines of the entire leg and the architecture of the golden greaves, but also demonstrated the outfit's flexibility under extreme poses. Maintaining stability meant keeping the core tightly engaged throughout, making the completion of a full set quite physically taxing.

A solid blue background paper was chosen for this shoot, primarily to echo the blue pauldrons and blue contact lenses, while allowing the silhouette edges of the black leather to stand out crisply. Facial fill-light requirements were relatively demanding—because leather absorbs light easily, the lighting had to cut through cleanly to keep the blue contacts and facial makeup sharp and pristine.

Drawing from that line of dialogue, I made subtle adjustments to my gaze and micro-expressions. Cifera is by no means a simple character; the intertwining of greed and destiny renders her aura remarkably complex. In front of the lens, I tried to stay in a semi-relaxed state with focused eyes, avoiding forced expressions and instead using a slightly tilted chin and a lowered gaze to project a dangerous yet alluring presence. While there might still be room for improvement, the journey of restoring a multi-dimensional persona through one's own interpretation and physicality remains endlessly captivating.
