[Rozen Maiden cosplay] Recording the Vintage Study Room Group Photoshoot

Filled with nostalgia and anticipation, this Rozen Maiden group photoshoot was finally successfully completed in a meticulously decorated vintage study room. Creating the entire set truly took immense effort, from the walls lined with vintage hardcover books, warm-toned floor lamps, brass-textured gramophones and bracket clocks, to fringed chandeliers—every detail strived to recreate a Victorian space full of a classical fairytale scene vibe. The deep red velvet curtains echoed the intricately patterned Persian carpet, setting a rich and warm tone for the entire photo set.

For this shoot, our team members made extremely detailed preparations regarding costumes, makeup, and props. Everyone's dresses were selected in high-recreation styles tailored to each character's traits; whether it was the wide ruffled cuffs, layered lace decorations, delicate neck bow ties, or the various large skirts, they all appeared exceptionally gorgeous against the backdrop of the vintage setting. I also specially adjusted the texture of the makeup, striving to present a doll-like exquisite feel in front of the lens. Combined with the smooth, long curly wig, the overall styling achieved a high degree of integration with the scene's atmosphere.

The shooting process was incredibly joyful. Instead of strictly sticking to rigid posed positions, we incorporated many slice-of-life interactions. Especially when we gathered around the round table covered in red cloth for the afternoon tea shoot, holding exquisite porcelain teaware alongside the gramophone prop, that cozy and leisurely ambiance was instantly captured by the camera. There was also a scene where we lay on the carpet painting together, casually using colored markers, naturally blending spontaneous creativity with the characters' inherent childlike innocence.

The photographer also gave us plenty of room to express ourselves in terms of camera movement and the use of light and shadow. For instance, when shooting my solo shot holding a fruit basket, a warm yellow spotlight beamed from behind, casting a halo on the wall and creating a strong contrast with the red backdrop fabric, making it perfect for photography. When filming that standing pose wearing a high top hat, the warm glow of the wall lamps and the deep shadows inherent to the bookshelves interlaced, perfectly outlining the costume's silhouette. This time, we also took into account the composition of the anime ensemble; the positioning of the six people in the scene was well-layered, which not only avoided clutter but also showcased the unique bustling feel of a group photoshoot and the bonds between characters.

In post-processing, we maintained a warm yellow vintage tone overall, preserving the textures of the carpet, wood grain, and books as much as possible while eliminating redundant distracting details to make the people and objects in the photos look more three-dimensional and vivid. Whether it was contemplating while immersed in a sea of books, warm interactions with partners, or quiet moments focused on painting, everything was recorded in these photos. Being able to complete this high-quality group photoshoot with everyone truly brought a great sense of accomplishment. The dedication to the set design and the commitment to the characters blended together, making each frozen frame look like a vintage fairytale illustration. I hope this attitude of treating every detail seriously can be conveyed through this set of photos.
