This Doremy Sweet Anime cosplay photoshoot required considerable effort right from the preparation stage. To recreate the character's visual traits, the blue wig and bright colored contacts served as the foundation, while the most complex component was the black, white, and red vintage dress. The staggered lace trims, large red velvet bow, and white pom-poms on the garment took extensive time to assemble and adjust piece by piece. When setting up the scene on shooting day, we deliberately chose a vintage wooden bedstead, bed drapes, and a floral patterned carpet. Photographer Zhimengli managed light and shadow brilliantly; the afternoon sunlight filtering through the sheer white curtains created a delightfully soft and dreamy ambience.
During the shoot, many intriguing props were utilized, such as a violin placed on the left side and a gold-framed mirror. Examining myself in the mirror and tugging at the red hood were poses designed to convey the character's doll-like aura—both coolly aloof and subtly playful. The pose in the fourth photo holding a cloud-like prop was actually a candid capture under backlighting; at that moment, my fingers were pointing right at the sunbeams streaming in through the window, making the on-site lighting breathtaking. Because the dress's skirt is quite voluminous, placing several restrictions on sitting and standing poses, we designed movements utilizing the bed's edge and wooden chairs to showcase the skirt's layering. Regarding the outfit styling, the White stockings with lace trim paired with the tiered skirt visually extended the lines of my legs beautifully. To complement this attire, the makeup emphasized deep eye definition while keeping my gaze relaxed and slightly distant. In post-processing, the crisp textures of the vintage furniture and wrinkled bedsheets were preserved, while ensuring the warm color palette of the attire remained untarnished. This finished photoshoot boasts high fidelity and captures the distinctive charm of this Touhou Project character.
