For this Tushan Susu cosplay shoot, I prepared as thoroughly as possible across the wardrobe, wig, and Animal ears. This gradient kimono transitions smoothly from pink to light blue and then into purple; the fabric feels exceptionally silky in hand, offering a texture that fits the character's design perfectly. The wide, trailing sleeves have a graceful drape that creates an airy, flowing motion while walking, though the floor-grazing sections required careful attention to avoid awkward creases during indoor shooting.

The wig is golden yellow, and the iconic ahoge cowlick on top is the very soul of the look—I applied generous coats of styling spray to keep it standing upright. The plush, fluffy Animal ears have wonderful texture, complementing the hair accessories to give the overall silhouette a rounded, soft appearance. In the seated floor shot in particular, I pulled gently on one ear with one hand while using my phone in the other to obscure part of my face. Covering the face added a hint of mystery while channeling that tender, bashful maiden charm.

For posing, I showcased my legs paired with mid-calf White socks. The second photo seated on a chair with legs crossed elongates the leg lines more than sitting on the floor, while flashing a peace sign with one hand adds extra lively energy. Regarding the White socks pairing, considering the character's breezy and playful design, the sock length and fabric texture significantly influenced the overall visual balance of body proportions.

Lighting is crucial in an indoor setting. I primarily leveraged warm indoor lighting to establish an inviting, cozy atmosphere that effectively accentuated her cheerful, adorable traits. Using a wooden wardrobe backdrop alongside a gray chair helped keep the overarching color scheme clean and warm.

Throughout the session, I kept myself in a relaxed state, avoiding overly rigid posed setups. Natural hand gestures or looking down to adjust the fabric often yielded snapshots far more organic than stiff postures. Beyond facial expressions, hand gestures greatly enrich character storytelling—for instance, the peace sign in the second image feels infinitely more dynamic than a formal standing pose.

The overall shoot was a wonderful experience; despite the compact space, the indoor ambient lighting was ideal, sparing us the wind and sun of an outdoor session. Adjusting the costume took considerable time, such as keeping the voluminous sleeves from looking bulky and preventing the long sash and tassels from tangling. While these adjustments were tedious, achieving satisfying frames made every effort worthwhile. Immersing myself in her vibrant, spirited personality naturally carried into my expressions, resulting in very organic stills. Sharing these behind-the-scenes insights, I hope fellow fans of this character enjoy the result.
