The photos for this Lucy cosplay from Zenless Zone Zero are finally sorted out. Compared to previous works, I put extra care into the overall styling, makeup, and prop preparation this time. Photography was handled by master Hongbai, whose studio lighting setup brought out exceptional texture in this black-and-red punk-infused outfit.
Let's first talk about the core of this look. The bright blonde twintail wig with trimmed bangs fits the character's visual silhouette remarkably well. The black helmet worn on top features golden totems and silver horns on both sides, providing a solid visual weight to the head area that blends playful charm with the hardcore edge of a combat character. For makeup, I deliberately deepened the eye contours, using reddish and pinkish eyeshadows to highlight a resolute gaze rather than purely emphasizing sweetness, which better matches her tough-yet-tender personality in this Cute girl cosplay.
In terms of outfit details, the upper half consists of a cropped black tank top printed with a white winged emblem, layered beneath a glossy black leather jacket with a vibrant bright red inner lining—this red-and-black contrast is very eye-catching. As a cosplayer dedicated to roleplay, I've always felt that beyond replicating the costume, what matters most is conveying the character's personality through expression and demeanor. Although Lucy looks like a cute girl on the outside, she is resolute inside and fearless when taking up arms. During shooting, I strove to maintain a confident gaze and a slightly tilted chin, coordinating with hand poses supporting the prop to project this confidence and tenacity through body language. The studio shoot utilized a clean gray gradient background, eliminating distracting elements so all visual focus remained squarely on the garment textures and makeup details in this Anime cosplay.
Although moving props, adjusting the wig, and fixing garments took considerable time throughout the shoot, seeing the final finished photos made every second worthwhile. The final presentation of this set retains the essential traits of the Anime cosplay character while infusing realistic photographic texture. Bringing a piece of work to a personally satisfying standard is immensely fulfilling.
