Extensive effort went into today's look at Firefly ACG Expo, from hair and makeup to garment styling. Taking an original route combining Sweet and spicy style, I wanted to showcase that cool yet mesmerizing ambiance typical of Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Blonde hair with blunt bangs was dusted with fine glitter through the strands, topped with bright pink devil horn hair clips. To complement this concept, I specially applied pointed elven ear prosthetics, paired with magenta-purple contact lenses to unify the color palette. Eye makeup leaned pink-purple while keeping the beauty mark beneath the eye, with plenty of blush applied to maintain a radiant complexion under the complex mix of daylight and venue lights at the expo.
For the outfit, I chose a glossy pink oversized jacket worn off-the-shoulder, which partly covered the arms while showcasing the inner cropped white top. The cutout detailing on the chest demanded a snug fit, so I used pink straps to cinch the waistline, giving the overall silhouette a sharper, cleaner proportion. The bottom piece was a Holographic pleated skirt with a laser-sheen finish that refracted blue-pink metallic luster under the sun, looking especially stunning in motion. A silver metal chain hung from the waist, while my neck was adorned with a black choker featuring a pink heart pendant. I opted for white fingerless gloves, which avoided getting in the way of holding props while adding a touch of techwear edge. Long rhinestone-studded press-on nails made holding the lollipop slightly tricky, but the visual payoff on camera was well worth it.
The orange spherical lollipop in hand served as a key prop for the shoot. Before the camera, I tried holding it near my lips or extending it toward the lens. The photographer excelled at capturing candid moments—especially the profile shot leaning forward with the lollipop, where the interplay of light and shadow created striking depth. In the bustling crowd of the expo, maintaining focus in such an environment was quite a test. Many fellow fans recognized the Goddess of Victory: Nikke vibe and came over for selfies and chats, and everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming.
Reflecting on makeup tips, after a full day at an expo, the longevity of the base and eye makeup matters most. To keep pink-toned eyeshadow from looking muddy, I blended the edges with purple hues and layered glitter sparingly in multiple passes. Maintaining the wig was also meticulous work—trimming the bangs in advance and locking in crown volume with hair wax ensured it didn't collapse under the weight of the horn clips. Every convention is a dual test of stamina and patience, but seeing all those glittering details captured amidst shifting light and shadow makes every bit worthwhile.
