The theme of this shoot was exceptionally clear: a dedicated school uniform style archive for Oguri Cap, aimed at creating a clean and crisp look record. The overall approach combines a classic blue-and-white sailor suit, a dark blue large ribbon bow, and white thigh-high stockings to evoke a nostalgic school vibe while highlighting the character's vitality. The outfit was quite particular in material selection—the sailor collar has a crisp structure, the dark blue bow forms the central visual point of the costume, and the white pleated skirt boasts rich texture. The double-stripe design on the skirt hem paired with white thigh-high stockings faithfully recreates Oguri Cap's iconic school uniform look in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, with lower-body proportions beautifully elongated through the pairing of stockings and loafers.
Regarding headwear details, the hairpiece embellished with diamond shapes and blue accents clipped on securely, echoing the curve of the fluffy animal ears. To execute this look well, I put a lot of effort into pre-styling this white wig; the color is a soft cool white to ensure it doesn't look dull or gray. Combining the sailor collar with short hair, plus that distinctive tuft of sticking-up ahoge, gives the whole ensemble extra soul, fitting the rustic yet stubborn temperament associated with the Cinderella Gray title.
In terms of pose design, I hoped to express a lively yet cute gap-moe charm. For instance, the pose holding up a carrot plays into the character's foodie and dorky traits; as a Cosplay reference, such interactive props often enhance visual humor and let viewers feel the character's energy. Other pose sets involving standing on one leg while slightly lifting the skirt hem emphasize the coordination between white stockings and deep brown loafers. Poses with a larger range of motion display the costume's dynamic flow during movement, keeping the overall composition from looking stiff.
For photography, I chose a standard solid blue backdrop complemented by a white cylindrical platform stage, aiming to keep the frame clean without distracting elements. Overall lighting was kept soft, rendering the blue-and-white blocks on the sailor suit and the long white wig with a clear, translucent texture. I deliberately avoided overly complex lighting setups, as the school uniform's palette is already fresh enough, making simple direct soft light ideal for highlighting the character itself in Anime cosplay.
This shoot serves as a complete pose archive, covering various body languages such as standing, hands-on-hips, resting chin on hands, and standing on one leg. I hope this Oguri Cap cosplay school uniform set authentically conveys that unyielding yet naturally dorky pure charm unique to Cinderella Gray. Having cosplayed many characters with different settings, putting on this blue-and-white sailor suit and standing before the camera always makes me feel that clean school style overflowing with vitality and approachability. Archiving this photoshoot not only records the styling but also preserves a precious memory of love for this character.
