[Attilio Regolo Cosplay] A Cozy Day at Home with a Cat in Azur Lane

This time, I shot Attilio Regolo from Azur Lane, focusing on a completely relaxed home daily life direction. Compared to the past where I messed around with complex, large weapon props in various studios, this time I decided to set the scene right in my own living room and on the bed. The lighting relied entirely on the soft natural light streaming through the window in the afternoon without deliberately setting up any harsh, hard lights, so the captured frames inherently carry a layer of lazy filter.
The core visual focus of this outfit is, of course, this iconic giant black bowknot. Its stiff shaping on both sides paired with lace edges took quite some time to set, otherwise, it would easily collapse. For the hairstyle, it was specially made into a waist-length look while keeping a cute loop-shaped ahoge on top of the head. Combined with the blonde hair color, it naturally blends with the light-toned sofa and thick-knit blanket at home. The outfit features a white off-the-shoulder cardigan paired with a pink inner layer, and the drawstring design prevents the overall look from being too monotonous. For the lower body, it's a pair of shorts with colored stripes and semi-transparent white over-the-knee stockings; the white stockings look very soft under natural light. The pair of black cat-eared plush slippers on my feet not only creates a gap moe but also acts as the crowning touch for the entire home setting.
The long-haired cat was exceptionally active on the day of the shoot. Normally, cats are quite afraid of the camera, but this time, because it was in its familiar territory, it acted like a real 'little crew member' instead. Whether holding it in my arms or the moments it came over to join the fun and rub against the lens, the entire frame became incredibly dynamic. Without this little cat, this set of photos would probably lack a bit of lifelike atmosphere. To reflect Attilio Regolo's casual and relaxed personality, I intentionally held a game controller and headphones, half-lying on the pink-themed sheets, using this pose that highly restores a daily rest state to convey the character's relaxation during non-combat moments. This made for a wonderful experience in Cat photography.
When doing this kind of Home cosplay, the core actually doesn't lie in how 'armor-like' or magnificent the costume and props are, but in the coordination of expression and environment. Slightly messy hair and clothes actually look more authentic than being meticulously polished. For makeup, I also deliberately reduced heavy highlights, adopting a breathable, no-makeup makeup look paired with light purple eyeshadow, which both echoes the character's setting and avoids appearing overly abrupt in this bright and comfortable indoor space. Although the props are streamlined, everyday items such as the headphones, desk lamp, calendar, and handheld console enrich many compositional details.
This look has quite an advantage in this indoor environment with excellent lighting, especially the flat-lying perspective in picture four, where the visual highlights of the white stockings combined with the pink inner shirt, along with the full composition, express the casual home comfort to the absolute fullest. Usually, after shooting too many big movements and combat stances, returning to this softer home atmosphere once in a while is a different experience—after all, in the game, this is exactly the daily state of most characters in the port area. Real-scene interactions and the clever pairing of props can actually make the expressiveness of cosplay surpass the rigidity of the original setting.
