[Altria Cosplay] Gorgeous Reflections in the Mirror Wearing Fate Series Blue Dress

Shooting this Blue dress set happened to coincide with my recent mindset. Looking at the raw unedited photos felt rather subtle; on one hand, I really like the composition in front of the mirror, but on the other hand, just as described, I didn't feel like posting or editing photos recently, so I decided to release unretouched unedited photos directly.

The core charm of this outfit lies in its material splicing and tailored cut. Dark blue satin inherently carries a calm luster, which, combined with the shimmering mesh at the neckline, adds lightness to the elegant look. Black lace patterns flow naturally along collarbones and chest contours, while the pearl pendant dangling at the center of the neckline falls right on the visual focus, serving as an anchor for the neck area. Instead of a conventional zipper at the back of the neck, a wide dark blue satin bow tie is fastened. Frontally, this back-neck design acts as a subtle extension, but turning around reveals the grand backless structure of the dress, complemented by long black velvet gloves on my arms. The black, white, and blue palette offers rich visual depth in this Anime cosplay representation, especially standing before an antique carved silver vanity mirror where cool metal glints and dress sheen reflect off each other.

For hair, a meticulously trimmed light silver-blonde wig was used. The naturally shaped ahoge at the crown is truly the soul of the entire look, with stray hairs trimmed away to keep the silhouette sleek and clean. Straight-cut bangs in front feature clear layers, while long sideburns frame the cheeks, slimming the face shape while echoing her refined Anime cosplay vibe. For eye makeup, focus was placed on eyeliner, using thick, extended, wing-tipped lines paired with small-diameter light blue-green gradient contact lenses to give my gaze a focused yet cold, aloof quality. During shooting, I deliberately kept my lips neutral, setting aside my usual smile to stand with a steadier posture while gazing at my reflection.

The setting was specifically chosen around a vanity mirror with vintage 3D carved frames, leveraging mirror photography to enhance spatial depth. The first close-up focuses on facial expression, clearly showing eye makeup and face details. The second shot uses a medium-to-wide composition, displaying the exquisite backless dress effect while retaining the calm expression in the mirror. Swarovski-style crystal chandeliers overhead cast subtle light specks and color reflections, enveloping the image in a cool blue-grey tone that matches the dignity and serenity of the dress. Shooting a solo subject facing a mirror involves no props to interact with, relying entirely on eye expressions and emotions to carry the scene; luckily, the wig and overall styling helped me get into character quickly.

It's interesting that while this dress looks magnificent, wearing and moving in it requires great care to avoid creases. Thankfully, the raw photos met my expectations. Editing can wait for now as I need a rest, so I'm sharing these sorted raw photos as they are. Dressing up as a beloved character and pressing the shutter in a satisfying setting is a reward in itself.
