[Ishtar Cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Servant Descends: Does This Blue-and-Gold Divine Outfit Make Your Heart Skip a Beat?

I finally found the right time to release this set of Fate/Grand Order Ishtar's blue-and-gold divine outfit. This blue-and-white idol-style maid dress trimmed with gold edging is a look I put a lot of heart into recreating this time.

First, let's talk about the design details of the costume. What catches the eye most about this outfit is the blue-white-gold color scheme. The upper body features a dark blue fitted blouse paired with a white lapel collar, and the dark blue bow adorned with a ruby at the neckline is exceedingly exquisite, serving as an important visual focus of the entire outfit. The waist incorporates crossing gold lines for accentuation, effectively elongating body proportions. The edge of the outer white apron is trimmed with delicate frills, and the inner blue-and-white double-layered skirt also features rich, layered pleats along with a shimmering gold stripe border. Visually, it gives a strong sense of depth; when walking or posing, the entire skirt silhouette looks wonderfully full.

Hair and makeup also took quite a bit of thought. The long dark brown wavy hair topped with a giant pair of dark blue bows is a highly iconic feature of Ishtar. To give the bangs a natural fluffy texture, I styled them with soft curved curls. Paired with ruby-colored contact lenses and matching earrings, I strived to recreate that Goddess vibe that balances arrogance with playful charm in my expression. During shooting, I had to deliberately control my expression—not smiling too brightly, but putting on that tsundere aura of "Come, submit before me."

Special thanks to photographer Mubai-laoshi for this shoot. To capture that reaching perspective of "inviting" rule, Mubai-laoshi specially found a slightly high overhead angle, using the perspective of a wide-angle lens to capture the forward-stretching arm movement very fluidly. In the full-body photo, putting one hand on the waist while extending the other arm perfectly showcases the top-to-bottom proportions of the whole outfit; the gold lines at the waist seam combined with the fluffy skirt make the lower body lines look remarkably well-balanced on camera. Furthermore, the light on site was very complex, with fill lights from various booths intertwining with natural light. Mubai-laoshi cleverly used reflectors to balance the light and shadow on my face, making the skin texture in the final shots translucent with a subtle oil-painting feel after soft-focus post-processing.

When shooting this piece, controlling body posture was also a challenge. Because the shoes I wore had a certain height, maintaining an aloof expression while resting one hand on my hip, steadily reaching out with the other hand, and keeping my gaze locked on the lens meant every single photo required controlling muscle tension to stabilize my center of gravity. The effortless feel everyone sees was actually achieved through repeatedly adjusting angles and poses.

The layering of the skirt is truly a major plus for this character. The frills of the white apron plus the piped trim of the dark blue lining constitute a very rich lower-body structure. Although the whole outfit looks very gorgeous, its lightness is actually pretty good, lacking that overly heavy burden and allowing free movement around the convention hall. As for why I chose this hand-reaching gesture, it was actually to echo that confidence of "submit to me," expressing the contrasting appeal of being tsundere, powerful, yet possessing a touch of little-girl cuteness.

As for my state cosplaying this character this time, I personally feel satisfied with this stage. Although people were coming and going at the anime convention, during those few minutes standing in front of the lens, I would instantly immerse into the character. I think this is the most charming aspect of Anime cosplay: not just wearing accurately reproduced clothes, but using eyes and movements to convey a mental state completely different from daily life. If there is an opportunity in the future, I might try more different lighting angles with this look to see if we can capture even more varied atmospheres.
