[Altria cosplay] Fate Series Blue Dress Look Shoot Showcase

Shooting this blue dress look took considerable time, and overall the experience was tougher than expected.

During costume preparation, although this navy satin gown had great color saturation and exquisite texture, managing it was quite troublesome. In particular, the black lace patchwork and semi-sheer tulle on the chest had a structured firmness, requiring several people to help adjust it carefully so it would sit flush against the body. The length and drape of the skirt hem directly impacted the overall visual presentation, so during breaks between takes, I was practically constantly smoothing and resetting the folds of the skirt.

The prop sword was much heavier than it appeared to the naked eye. To hold it naturally without disrupting the composition, my wrist and arm had to exert steady force, taking several test shots to pinpoint the most comfortable pose. For the scene, the photographer draped copious amounts of blue and white satin as a backdrop, arranging white blossoms, golden picture frames, and scattered candles to enhance visual depth. Because the floor was covered in satin, it was extremely slick; balancing on these high heels with blue uppers and red soles while holding an elegant sitting or standing posture was quite a test of balance. The pearl chain around the ankle paired with gloves added extra layers of detail to the overall styling.

Working with the photographer moved at a brisk pace. We tried several profile and low-angle shots, mainly to accentuate the lines of the costume's bodice and visually elongate proportions through the flared skirt. Because the blue dress was paired with black lace, the makeup also leaned into a cool-toned aesthetic, emphasizing reddish-pink eyeshadow and pale lip color, which, paired with butterfly-style earrings, brought the look as close to the character's temperament as possible.

Regarding this character Roleplay, I was fully aware that capturing the aloof and commanding essence of the King of Knights from Fate and Fate/Grand Order is very difficult. After all, that noble knight-princess aura is innate to the original character design. As an ordinary person, I did my utmost to express her external poise, diligently practicing facial expression control and eye direction; nevertheless, my usual habitual expressions might still seep through—what people commonly refer to as being slightly OOC—so I kindly ask for everyone's understanding.

After the shoot wrapped up, my legs and feet were aching intensely, and packing away the costume took a good chunk of time. Posting this set is mainly to document this cosplay shoot experience and showcase the fruits of this carefully curated costume, makeup, and props.
