[Columbina Cosplay] Tranquility by the Window Sill and Moments Before the Fall

This Genshin Impact Columbina Cosplay photoshoot was completed by the window sill. A lot of effort went into the preparation for this shoot. The most troubling part was the fabric of this blue-and-white garment; we selected satin with a good drape spliced with lightweight tulle. While it offers rich layering, it easily wrinkles when moving, requiring constant tidying. The wig features black hair with red highlights; the bangs were trimmed several times to fit my face shape, and the white feather headpiece on top was supported internally with thickened acrylic sheets for three-dimensional structure. To reproduce the visual effect of standing barefoot on the window sill, the white crisscross straps on my feet and calves were tied piece by piece on-site. They needed to form crisp geometric lines without being tied too tightly to impede blood circulation. Standing barefoot on the cold marble surface, my body naturally tensed up, making it easier to hold that slightly bent-knee curled pose.

The shoot took place in the afternoon when natural light was soft. The white European-style window frames and grey stone pillars outside created a restrained color harmony with the predominantly blue-and-white outfit for this window sill photography session. During the shoot, two distinct states were attempted: one with closed eyes leaning sideways against my knees, simulating an extremely relaxed yet slightly forlorn quiet atmosphere that mirrors the mood of "the moon is about to fall"; the other looking straight into the lens with open eyes, keeping the gaze as unfocused as possible alongside light-colored contacts to evoke an unfocused, ethereal feel. Heavy colors were avoided for makeup—the base was kept clean and translucent, focusing only on eye contours. As I moved, the blue tulle at the hem would spread in layers; to capture the most natural drape, I sat down and stood up on the window sill multiple times. Although my arms and waist felt quite sore throughout the process, the final photos truly captured the layered costume colors and crisscross strap details. A window sill with such architectural character truly suits her cold, ethereal presence.
