[Elysia Cosplay] The Pink Miss Elf from Honkai Impact 3rd is Here!

A tremendous amount of care and preparation went into this photoshoot for Elysia's 'Silvery Moon, Fair Maiden' look from Honkai Impact 3rd, from early prep to the final shots. Once the costume arrived, I first inspected all the accessories. The outfit features multiple intricate layers: the inner pink form-fitting corset hugs the body comfortably, while the outer white wide-sleeved robe is made of a structured satin fabric that firmly supports the silhouette. To recreate the ethereal flutter of the skirt, I smoothed out each layer of tulle; the gold detailing along the hem caught the light beautifully on set, adding an elegant metallic sheen. I also adjusted the placement of the waist sash and choker several times to ensure they wouldn't shift or deform during dynamic movements.

For hair and makeup, styling the pink wig was the most time-consuming part of the entire prep. The two massive looped buns on top required generous amounts of hairspray and a steel comb to hold their shape, reinforced with inner padding to maintain a plump, voluminous silhouette. The decorative white pom-poms and gold leaf hair ornaments were anchored to the wig fibers with hot-melt adhesive, requiring delicate handling to avoid snagging. Since Elysia has pointed elf ears, I selected skin-tone silicone ear tips and blended the seams seamlessly with liquid foundation. To complement the pastel pink hair, the eye makeup centered on a pink-purple gradient eyeshadow paired with violet contact lenses, finished with three stacked layers of false lashes to enlarge the eyes while capturing that signature anime aesthetic.

On set, we chose a backdrop with dark carved-wood lattice screens, utilizing mirror-finish floor reflections to introduce dramatic spatial depth. To accentuate my leg lines and the delicate motifs of the White stockings, I angled my sitting posture slightly sideways with one leg extended forward. The sheer stockings deserve special mention—the white cloud patterns and floral embroidery were exquisite. In the first shot, I went barefoot, keeping only the gold anklets and pink ribbons for a more relaxed and natural aesthetic. In the second shot, I slipped into clear platform heels to elongate the calf line. Handling the props required finesse: the pole for the rabbit lantern had surprising heft and needed careful wrist control, while for the folding fan, after testing several angles, I chose a pose with one hand supporting the floor and the other holding the fan, keeping the posture effortless rather than stiff.

With Honkai Impact 3rd's 10th anniversary arriving, shooting this 'Silvery Moon, Fair Maiden' set was an opportunity to channel Elysia's trademark blend of gentle grace and playful sweetness. The reflective floor proved invaluable, and we positioned warm-toned softboxes to bathe the pink hues in a gentle glow while avoiding blown-out highlights. Post-production primarily focused on highlight control to preserve the authentic tactile grain of the satin and tulle fabrics. Although the workflow was intricate, seeing the final lighting, textures, and details meet my exact vision made every bit of effort worthwhile.
