The lighting conditions inside convention halls are often quite uneven, making capturing a clean photo a true test of a photographer's on-site coordination. This photoshoot focused on Arknights Amiya cosplay, combining elements of a Maid outfit with Bunny ears. The costume features plenty of intricate details—especially the ruffled collar and the bell on the chest, which carry some weight and can easily shift posture. To preserve the character's inherent cute charm without looking bulky, I opted for full-length White stockings faux-translucent tights paired with leather shoes, a combination that flatters leg lines beautifully.

During the shoot, the photographer used a slightly lower angle to capture better full-body proportions against a relatively clean wall, neatly avoiding the cluttered crowds in the hall. In the first photo, I am looking at the camera's flip screen to confirm facial expressions and overall composition, which is a crucial step during shooting. The second photo showcases the full-body styling—standing with crossed legs and subtle arm gestures effectively opens up the skirt lines, making the transition between the White stockings and shoes appear seamless. The third photo is a close-up of the head: blue contact lenses paired with soft pink eye gradients, where the precision of the makeup directly determines whether the face holds up under the lens.

Let's talk about the styling preparations. The Bunny ears are made of a structured, firm material, and the headpiece carries some weight over time. To prevent the bonnet from slipping, invisible tape was applied near the forehead. The wig was textured with a curling iron to complement blunt bangs and twintails, creating a fuller profile from the side. The White stockings were a highlight of this shoot, but indoor lighting can easily cause harsh highlights, so patiently adjusting the angle of the legs relative to the light source was necessary to prevent texture distortion from over-reflection. The skirt is quite puffy, requiring mindfulness during bending or larger movements, which is why I chose crouching or subtle standing poses.

Our coordination during the shoot was seamless; the photographer quickly repositioned the reflector board according to the scale of my movements. Because the ambient lighting was messy, we needed to avoid harsh shadows cast by overhead ceiling lights, using a foam board for localized fill light to keep the eye makeup crisp while rendering the skin tone bright and clean. Overall, nailing this look and finding the right angles required plenty of on-the-spot adjustments. Always remember to check the frame edges after each take to avoid cropping out crucial props or skirt hems. That wraps up this experience log, and I look forward to taking on more diverse styles next time.
