【Me and myself, accomplices unto eternity】When this photo set was released, I stared at the title for a long time. For the character I played this time, this duality—and even the coexistence of multiple faces—is practically the core of her existence. Since this was a duo cosplay photoshoot, the focus naturally rested on that subtle, implicit understanding between the two figures.

The designs we referenced this time were her default look and the \"Refined Horrific\" skin, which naturally created a strong visual tension in costume coordination. One outfit features crisp black and white with battle-tested ruggedness, while the other is predominantly black infused with red and gold accents, complemented by exaggerated ring decorations and a cape. The clothing designs themselves carry immense narrative weight; before shooting, we had to clarify all the dressing details, such as mechanical structures, strap threading techniques, and the seemingly casual draped chains on the chest, which actually had precise placements.

The wig was a vital component of the styling process. Crafting a fluffy animal ear wig with black-and-white gradient long hair that looked voluminous yet tastefully messy was extremely time-consuming. On our first makeup trial, spending time on the hairline and layering alone took nearly three hours. Fortunately, the final outcome matched our expectations—that sharp, fierce gaze paired with dramatic eyelashes and red lips established the character's powerful aura without needing overly dramatic expressions.

The location on shoot day was an unfinished, abandoned factory. Friends familiar with Arknights know that this character embodies a vibe that drifts outside the rules; being in a crude, cold, dust-covered concrete ruin actually resonated perfectly with her uninhibited combat style. We chose to shoot at night, and aside from our brought-in lighting equipment, the venue had almost no light sources. The photographer set up a large key light casting clean, sharp illumination from the front-side, which not only highlighted the white wig with glossy textures but also allowed the background to sink directly into pure darkness. This high-contrast lighting technique worked brilliantly for ruins style photography, hiding messy background debris while focusing all visual attention on the characters.

We spent considerable effort designing our poses. The shot I remember most vividly is sitting back-to-back on a plush rug. In reality, the floor was covered in crushed stones and dust; that rug was temporarily laid down behind the backdrop panel just to provide a clean place to sit. Sitting poses actually require more core muscle control than standing ones, as we needed to showcase leg lines while ensuring the hem of the dress and cape stayed tidy. At that moment, the two of us were constantly adjusting each other's clothing folds while finding angles for the lens. There were also interactive shots holding massive weapons; the prop weapons were quite heavy and required balanced hand support to look effortless on camera without showing strain, which tested our arm strength. Despite over a dozen NGs, the final expressions and action states turned out spot-on.

To be honest, the most intriguing aspect of this kind of duo theme is the atmospheric feeling of \"conversing with oneself.\" Even though we are two distinct individuals, as long as eye contact is on point and details remain consistent in front of the camera, that character-specific sense of fate and solitude flows out naturally. Furthermore, she always hovers between solitude and madness. The two distinct forms are like her under two different mental states—one leaning toward wildness suppressed within, and the other carrying a detached, composed composure. This shoot was truly a process of re-understanding the character's core. In the dilapidated building, the subtle smell of dust in the air made the character feel genuinely real.

Today's published set was meticulously handpicked from numerous candidates. During post-processing, we deliberately preserved this cool-toned atmosphere without over-bleaching or over-cleaning the environment; this subtle graininess highlighted her character traits far better. Because of our dynamic movements during shooting, the clothes formed natural folds and motion, which I feel is vastly more alive than stiff, forced posing. As a cosplayer, being able to freeze such a hardcore scene in the ruins is an immensely satisfying achievement in itself.
