The shooting pace on the day of CICF was actually quite rushed due to the dense crowds and chaotic lighting, but the photographer was skilled at scouting angles, coordinating with ambient overhead lights and rim lighting to bring out the textures of the white hair and red-and-black outfit. Cosplaying Lappland the Decadenza from Arknights this time featured abundant costume details; in particular, the red cloak was very heavy and the skirt had a blue inner lining, requiring extra care while walking. The fabrics felt like stiff structured leather and wool blend—very sleek and stylish on the body, though movement was somewhat restricted. The wig was silver-white, styled extensively to maintain high volume at the crown and dynamic tension on both sides. In makeup, red eyeshadow and red colored contacts were emphasized to enhance that cold, dangerous, and commanding presence.
The first photo is a close-up seated in an elevated spot. With a shorter skirt hemline, I wore black thigh-high socks—namely Black stockings—paired with a leg garter and tall leather boots to highlight leg lines. Holding a fan to half-conceal my face while looking straight into the lens, the photographer noted the intense narrative depth in the gaze that anchored the frame, making it the perfect cover shot. The second photo is a dynamic full-body standing snapshot; to capture the billowing cloak and wind-swept long hair, I swung the cloak nearly a dozen times in a row until my arms grew sore. However, the backlight catching the edges of the hair looked stunning, making the entire silhouette pop cleanly.
The venue ambiance was rather dim, relying primarily on high-output overhead lights above the booth. While waiting for my turn, I enjoyed watching other cosplayers, feeling the vibrant convention atmosphere. Although black is the primary tone of the outfit, the contrast of the red cape, paired with Black stockings and heeled tall boots on the legs, made it photograph exceptionally well. When crafting the eye makeup, the stylist blended red eyeshadow around the eye sockets, which, paired with the red irises, gave a slight aggressive edge that perfectly matched the character's needed demeanor. Aside from sweating heavily, the garment felt quite constrictive—especially the tall boots and leg garters, which felt snug while walking. The full-body standing shots mainly highlighted body proportions, while the seated poses delivered a confident, interactive presence. Post-production avoided heavy alteration, preserving the lighting and granular fabric textures—I really love this authentic yet cool Anime-style photography visual.
