Today, this look for "Angel: Jiang Yifan" is finally brought to life. In fact, when I first saw this design, I wanted to capture that feeling of purity mixed with a heroic flair. The wig chosen was a light ice-blue gradient style; to maintain volume throughout the day, I used plenty of styling products, and the way the strands flowed in the night wind was quite a pleasant surprise. The blue ice-crystal hairpins and earrings were specially sourced—though lightweight, the cool tones they reflected under the night light matched the overall vibe perfectly.
For makeup, red pupils were the key highlight, paired with slightly deepened eyeshadow to make the eyes appear deeper under night illumination. Since the entire costume is white, overly plain makeup would look washed out, so I picked a highly saturated true red lipstick, creating a warm-and-cool contrast with the silver-white hair. I also dotted some glitter under my eyes to add dimension under the facial lighting. The outfit is a white two-piece set—a cropped camisole combined with a fitted mini skirt. The cut is very form-fitting, with a crisscross pleat design at the waist that flatters body proportions nicely. However, to present this look well, I did watch my diet slightly before the shoot, as tight-fitting clothes easily reveal any extra pounds.
The pair of white wings on my back was the centerpiece of the entire look. Although made of lightweight materials, they had a strong presence when unfolded, with gradient detailing on the feather tips. In an outdoor night setting, the pure white wings against the deep blue night sky created a striking visual impact. To complement the expansive feel of the wings, I held a cruciform longsword as a prop, with both the hilt and blade made of reflective silver material. While posing, I intentionally engaged my wrists to keep the blade straight and steady so it wouldn't look flimsy on camera. Holding the sword was actually quite a test of arm strength; because the sword was long, holding it up for an extended period made my arms ache, requiring several breaks to complete this sequence.
The temperature on the day of the shoot wasn't very warm, and the evening breeze was quite chilly. Standing outside for a long time in a midriff-baring top was indeed freezing. However, the lighting for the Night portrait was phenomenal—with the facial fill lights on, my skin looked remarkably translucent. The shoot lasted from dusk well into late night, with passing pedestrians and the distant lights of skyscrapers serving as a natural backdrop. To make my legs appear longer, I experimented with various standing and walking poses; high heels look great, but walking on uneven pavement still requires extreme caution. The final photos exceeded my expectations, especially the full-body shot holding the sword, where the lines of my legs and waist looked so sleek. I'm very satisfied with the completeness of this look, and given the chance, I'd love to try portraying more characters in different styles.
