This set of Goddess of Victory Cinderella CICF Expo convention photos has finally been sorted out.
This time, for the black and white Maid outfit version, the details of the clothes are much more than imagined. The black corset on the upper body has cross-lacing. To achieve a fitted effect, the tightness needs to be adjusted in advance before shooting, otherwise breathing and walking will be greatly affected. Three layers of petticoats were worn under the white multi-layered puffy skirt on the lower body. Although the volume came out, walking around in the exhibition hall was indeed quite strenuous. The black lace on the edge of the skirt hem and the fluffy tail decoration added some lively elements to the overall styling.
The prop part is a silver tray, which feels quite heavy in the hand. Because I need to pose in various ways for the photos, the texture of the metal combined with the black gloves is actually quite slippery, so I must be careful when holding it. The wig is long white twintails; this length of wig is very easy to tangle outdoors, so I had to keep smoothing it with a comb during breaks. To cover the right eye, styling the front bangs took a long time—they couldn't collapse while maintaining the overall fluffiness. The contact lenses were chosen as light blue, matching a cooler-toned eye makeup to stay as close as possible to the character's detached temperament.
The shoes are black patent leather pointed-toe high heels, with relatively hard soles; standing for a long time on the concrete floor makes the soles of the feet sore. The edge of the White stockings garter belt happens to be exposed below the skirt hem, a detail that needed intentional position adjustment during shooting to avoid being completely covered by the heavy skirt hem.
The shooting location was chosen by the floor-to-ceiling windows on the outer periphery of the exhibition hall, considering that the indoor crowd density was too high and the background was prone to looking cluttered. The natural light here is relatively sufficient, and after fill-lighting with a reflector, the overall picture presents a cool-white effect, which fits the color tone of this outfit very well. However, because there is a lot of white hair and a white skirt hem, local overexposure is prone to happening when shooting with front lighting, so every few shots I had to check the original photos and adjust the camera's exposure parameters.
Because the original character's temperament is relatively detached, I tried to control my facial expressions during the shoot, pulling back my gaze slightly and avoiding overly large smiles. But in the actions of lifting the skirt hem and raising the leg, it was necessary to reflect a little bit of a girl's playfulness, which is actually quite hard to grasp. The several dynamic postures displayed in the photos were mainly to showcase the layering of the skirt hem and the leg lines. The amplitude of raising the leg and the position of lifting the skirt were tried several times, hoping to better display the details of the White stockings and garter belt. Shooting this set of photos consumed quite a bit of physical strength, but seeing the light, shadow, and clothing texture in the final photos made me feel that all the early preparation was worth it.
