The intricate details of this Tenshi Hinanawi costume really test one's mirror selfie skills. Because the oversized Peach hat and Blue long hair take up a substantial visual presence in front of the lens, failing to adjust the angle properly makes the composition appear top-heavy. When initially conceptualizing the styling, the main focus was balancing the overall center of gravity through posture adjustments and utilizing the Platform tall boots to elongate leg lines. In terms of styling, the colorful diamond-patterned decorative panel at the chest required meticulous fastening, otherwise it easily shifted when twirling or walking. The stiff texture of the black patterned fabric on the skirt's hem ensured a crisp, flattering dome silhouette, while the white pleated lining provided visual softness. The wig had generous volume, and while reaching down to the knees was faithful to the design, it easily tangled with the skirt hem, requiring constant tidying during the shoot. The pink peach on the hat served as the true visual centerpiece—weighing even more than the hat itself, securing it firmly without tilting was key to pulling off this entire look.

Mirror selfies are actually more demanding than shooting with a photographer, as you have to manage your own facial expressions and movements while ensuring your phone doesn't obscure key costume highlights. Even if facial expressions are hard to discern while holding the phone, posing with one hand on the hip naturally spread out the skirt while accentuating the legs. Lacing up the Platform tall boots was tedious, but their chunky soles added tangible heft to my stride, and ground reflections added depth to the overall composition. The theme of celestial descent, along with the red bow tie and the stained-glass-like colorful patterns on the chest, took on great ambiance under shifting indoor lighting. The styling involved numerous intricate accessories and reorganizing components, demanding immense patience to balance structural proportions; fortunately, the final presentation achieved my expected standards. As a cosplayer, I deeply enjoy building characters layer by layer through fabric and props—even if tripped by the long wig or experiencing neck stiffness from wearing the hat for so long, it remains a fun and worthwhile experience.

The outfit itself carried considerable physical weight, as the colorful diamond motif on the chest was much heavier than it looked, requiring multiple hidden snaps and safety pins to keep it flat. Choosing to shoot in front of a mirror also accounted for the abundance of frontal details, where many patterns were best viewed through reflections. With relatively flat lighting, I tried various standing poses to avoid harsh shadows, ultimately finding that placing a hand on the hip while turning slightly sideways best highlighted the 3D silhouette. The petticoat layers were adjusted repeatedly: the white pleated skirt had natural drape, while the outer deep-blue patterned hem needed to flare outward to showcase the back ribbons cleanly. Choosing these black Platform tall boots not only matched the character's persona but also firmly grounded the lower body's center of gravity, preventing the exaggerated hat and Blue long hair from throwing off visual balance. While indoor shooting has limitations like background clutter requiring post-editing, putting on this costume immediately channeled the rich Touhou Project fantasy aesthetic and mystical presence. After countless angle tweaks, smoothing the skirt, and adjusting hair, looking back at the photos leaves me moved by such intricate yet exquisite design.
