For this event photo shoot, I specially chose this blue-and-white color-blocked Cheshire maid outfit. To match that design carrying a slightly mechanical and ethereal feel, we found an indoor factory building with large grey walls and high ceilings as the shooting location. The on-site lighting was dim, which happened to allow us to utilize the top spotlights to cast a chilly rim light.

Restoring the costume's details is extremely important. This dress has a very strong sense of layering; the lace and ruffled materials are light, and the white plush trim on the cuffs and skirt hem adds wonderful dimensionality in the lens. The headpiece is the soul; the combination of lace and white beast ears required multiple angle adjustments to ensure it wouldn't block the face when viewed from the front. I also re-trimmed the layers of the wig, and paired with bright blue circle lenses, that cat-like gaze emerged.

Sitting on a black metal stepladder is an exceptional pose. This height not only showcases the draping feel of the skirt hem, but the crossed-leg posture also wonderfully displays the leg lines and the texture of the White stockings. The light-colored clipboard held in hand is a great interactive prop, making hand movements look natural rather than rigid, even bringing a bit of a contrast moe like a little office worker or recorder, keeping the overall posture from being monotonous.

During actual shooting, adjusting the ladder's angle and seating posture took a bit of time, ensuring the center of gravity was stable while making the crossed-leg posture both elegant and unforced. Practicing the gaze is also crucial; Cheshire's vibe isn't just about acting cute, it also carries a bit of confidence and poise.

In terms of lighting, the floating dust or snowflake special effects added in post-processing make the entire frame no longer monotonous, filled with the dreamy feel unique to 2D anime. The two chibi little Cheshires composited in the first photo are a clever touch I really love; floating in mid-air and standing on the stairs, they feel like my little clones, adding tons of playfulness and fantastical color to the originally static frame.

Cosplaying Cheshire is always a joy because I can uninhibitedly showcase that lively yet slightly tsundere state. The photographer and post-processing team were also amazing, perfectly capturing the feeling I wanted to express. I am extremely satisfied with the texture of this event photo set, especially the gloss of the White stockings and the skin texture, which look exceptionally translucent under the cool light. I hope everyone likes this presentation as well.
