This night session shoot at CPSP Guangzhou truly exceeded expectations. Although the ambient light was dim, using flashlight fill lighting actually made the white lace and purple trim of the costume stand out with rich texture. The skirt of this Cheshire Cat cosplay is exceptionally voluminous; the layered tulle lining combined with the purple waist corset creates a distinct 3D presence on camera. The large bell accessory around my neck was customized—it hangs just right and sways gently with movement. Paired with a white leather choker and metal buckle, I was very pleased with the fidelity of these details.
I especially want to praise these white over-the-knee stockings (White tights cosplay) and platform Mary Jane shoes; when sitting on the stairs with the short skirt, they did an amazing job elongating my leg lines. Despite the high heels, the soles were remarkably stable, keeping my feet pain-free all night. For props, I prepared a small cake tray and a metallic platter to enhance interactivity, which felt natural whether held in hand or playfully balanced on my head. While the nighttime stairs had some moss, the photographer found a side-backlit angle that beautifully illuminated the hair strands and the fluff on the animal ears, with the purple feather headpiece creating a dreamy refraction in the dim light.
My biggest takeaway from this cosplay was that despite numerous accessories, wearing it was surprisingly effortless—the shoulder straps had great elasticity, and there was no need to constantly take off the white gloves. Guangzhou's hot night was somewhat humid, but thankfully the dress was breathable. The atmosphere at CPSP Guangzhou is always fantastic; I met many fellow fans, and everyone was super cooperative when exchanging Convention photos. This time, I deliberately captured various seated and standing compositions to showcase both the skirt's puffiness and the complete styling of the white tights and shoes. As a cosplayer who loves refining outfit details, the greatest joy of an outdoor shoot is conveying these little nuances through the lens—even a tiny ribbon or cross accent brings the character to life in Azur Lane.
