[Fu Xuan cosplay & Ganyu Cosplay] Xianzhou Luofu and Liyue Harbor: Double New Year Blessings

Happy post-holiday return to work! Pairing characters from Xianzhou Luofu and Liyue Harbor together was specifically chosen to match the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival. When preparing this combined photoshoot, I wanted to showcase two distinct costume textures under the same set environment, while jointly accentuating a joyful Spring Festival Chinese style cosplay mood.

The first look primarily pursues a light, ethereal texture infused with mythical elements. The pale pinkish-purple wig underwent meticulous trimming and styling, where golden hair ornaments atop paired with purple tassels to elevate elegance. The overall outfit focuses on white, blue, and purple tones, with an off-the-shoulder design layered with cascading ruffles to make the upper silhouette more three-dimensional. The metallic neck pendant and strap design serve as visual anchors for the upper body, paired with wide white sleeves and white tights for a crisp, luminous look. Holding a small wooden prop in my mouth for this shot presented quite a challenge in facial expression control—maintaining solemnity while keeping eyes lively required testing multiple angles before capturing a satisfying expression.

The second look leans towards a watery or celestial fairy design aesthetic. Short blue hair adorned with black-and-gold hairpieces looks light and nimble. The outfit features a short cut joining deep navy blue with black, accented by golden star-and-moon patterns and red knot ties, breaking color monotony while enriching details. This off-the-shoulder design strictly tests garment tailoring, easily looking slouchy if unrefined, yet the final effect beautifully contoured shoulder and collarbone lines. Sheer gauze sleeves on both arms echoed the texture of the white leg band fixed on one thigh. Sitting side-profile with knees bent on a soft white plush rug allowed slender leg lines to display naturally, conveying a relaxed yet refined elegance.

Set decoration was a pivotal success factor for this shoot. The team meticulously built a traditional Chinese-style Spring Festival real-scene studio: dark walnut low tables and chairs, paired with blue-and-white porcelain vases and red plum blossom branches, evoked strong folk festival vibes. Red paper lanterns, \"Fu\" character New Year decorations, and a semi-translucent ink landscape screen in the background blended seamlessly with my costume color palette. Warm yellow lighting softened skin textures and deepened outfit contours.

For cosplay enthusiasts, producing duo or group character shoots is often more challenging than solo sessions. Beyond individual styling completeness, one must balance overall color coordination, compositional proportions, and eye interaction to harmonize characters from different lore universes before the camera. In this final set, we deliberately avoided complex collage layouts, choosing individual single-person captures to clearly display tailoring craftsmanship and hair/makeup details. Organizing these photos allowed me to feel the spark where traditional Chinese elements collide with modern game/anime character designs, constantly bringing fresh surprises to the lens.
